Happy Easter.....

Just wanted to pop in to send
Happy Easter
wishes to all of you!

*****

We haven't colored Easter eggs in our house for many years but today my daughter woke up and decided to have eggs for breakfast instead of the usual cereal.
So......
before cracking the first egg I broke out my Spectrum Noir markers and we started playing with our eggs.....

Jellybeans all over the table for a fun little bit of Easter decor!

Altered bottle.....

Hi everyone!
I hope you all are having a great week!

Today I decided to combine two challenges.....

Sugar Creek Hollow's challenge - Altered State
&
Really Reasonable Ribbon's challenge - Ribbons & flowers

I just finished off a bottle of maple syrup the other day, cleaned the bottle and had it sitting on my desk so I started with that.

Here's my finished bottle.....

I started with a bit of tissue paper that I stamped with random stamps,
then mod podged it onto the bottle.

From there I grabbed a label from Gecko Galz Vintage Labels collage set and mod podged it onto the front of the bottle.

I covered that with a bit of lace from my stash.

I added some trim (from Piece by Piece) to the top and bottom of the lace.

A fabric flower I made using the Tim Holtz tattered florals die and a Prima wooden leaf, that I colored with my peeled paint distress markers and sprayed with a little bit of green patina Perfect Pearls Mist, is tucked underneath.

On the top part of the lace, I added a chipboard button that I added a bit of stamped fabric to,
and a couple of buttons from my stash.

The shimmery ribbon (Sheer Iridescent Copper) on top, for my bow, is from

I added a Prima wood bird on a branch, that I colored with
brushed corduroy & tumbled glass distress markers.

And tucked underneath the bird is a piece of lace scrap that I had on my desk.

Tea Time tag.....

Good morning!

The other day,
when it was snowing outside,
I stayed in my warm scrappy room, creating.
One of the things I created was this tag.....

The background paper is one of
Graphic45's
Once upon a Springtime Collection.

I added a strip of Tim Holtz Tissue Tape to the side,
then topped it with a little bit of modeling paste with a damask mask.

I distressed the edges and added some vintage photo distress ink.
A little vintage photo ink went on the masking as well.
Topped it all off with some perfect pearls mist to add some shimmer.

The piece of gauze was sprayed with perfect copper, Perfect Pearls Mist.

And while I was spraying I sprayed
sunflower sparkle Perfect Pearls Mist on the
Tattered Florals Flower I made with some cotton fabric and
green patina PPMist on the lace that I cut for the leaves.

I added a little strip of sticky back lace ribbon under the flower and
a red skeleton leaf under the (lace) leaves.

How cute is this teapot charm?
I found it at SaCrafters.
I added a Tim Holtz bauble and tied them both to the seam binding.

The tile is a Prima I've been hording.
I don't know if you can read it, it says...
"this is the best part of my day".

What part of the day is better than tea time?

This last picture you can see the dress form, on top of the gauze, that I put the tile on.
The dress form was taped to the outside of a pkg of goodies that I bought from Piece by Piece recently.

While on the tea time theme I thought I would share my last new tea cup & saucer I found on my last trip to the antique mall.....

The colors have more of a fall hue but that won't stop me from using it now!
LOL

Love the pattern!

Looks great with filled with some Irish Breakfast.....

Happy Tea Time!

hello...

Good morning everyone!

Don't ya just love spring.....

when it shows up?

sigh.....

We had flurries all day yesterday and today I see that some of you are being hit with snow again as well.

According to the weather channel warm days are coming for us.....

by the end of the week.....

fingers are crossed!

*****

Oh well, not much we can do about Mother Nature and
her crazy mood swings
but here in my warm scrappy place I sat and played yesterday.

First of my little projects I made was this card.....

I am on the DT at
and this months stamp was this cute little sheep.
You can purchase her here.

Wouldn't you love a happy little sheep strolling over with a basket of flowers for you?

The background paper was sitting on my desk and so was the pink punched paper.
I got out my new distressing tools from Prima and distressed all over.

I added the ribbon (a Walmart find) and some Enamel Accents in white.

The sentiment was stamped on a cut from my Silhouette Cameo.
I edged it with Versa Magic Dew Drop in Aegean Blue chalk ink
and added a couple drops of the Enamel Accents there too.

I stamped my cute little sheep with Archival Ink in coffee,
colored him with my Spectrum Noir markers,
then fussy cut him.

I added him and the sentiment to the card with pop dots.

Stay warm everyone!

A Joyful Easter card.....

Hi everyone!

I want to show you another Easter easel card that I've done.

The girl image is from the Easter Time collage set &
the eggs image is from the Eggs collage set
at Gecko Galz
and
the sentiments are from the Easter Blessings collage set by
Heather Hudson for Gecko Galz.

I used a little wild honey distress ink on the edges of the images.

The sticky back lace trim is from SaCrafters.

I used pop dots under the eggs and
the girl image & sentiment on the front of the card.

I am linking this up to

Wall hanging.....

Hello everyone!

Today I am going to show you the third wall hanging that I made for my husband to hang at work.

Once again I started with a Goodwill frame,
as a matter of fact this was the match to the last one that I made.
You can see that and what it originally looked like here.

I did a light white wash to the frame.

I painted the backer board with gesso,
then randomly painted some antique linen distress crackle paint.
I also sprayed sunflower sparkle perfect pearls mist all over.

I used a mask and some modeling paste to add the flowers.
I painted those flowers with worn lipstick, peeled paint & wild honey distress inks that I added water to.

All the images I added for the collage are from Gecko Galz

The lace trim is from my stash,
I added the yellow polka dot sheer ribbon from

Baby Mini.....

Hi everyone!

Today I want to show you a baby mini album I made recently for my nephew's new baby girl.

This one is photo heavy...

How cute is this little bootie I found?
I LOVE my Silhouette Cameo!

The new little angel's name is Olivia.
I strung a piece of jewelry wire and mounted it on a chipboard piece.

The eyelet trim I used on the cover is from my mom's stash.
Even though she is no longer with us, I like to add a piece of that here and there, especially when I make something for family.
It's like she helped.

I have no doubt mom is smiling down on her new
Great Granddaughter!

Below are a bunch of pictures of the inside.....

I love this cute little card below.....

Some of the tags I made and put inside.....

I left a lot of room for them to add pictures as well as journaling!

All of the sheer ribbons I used are from Really Reasonable Ribbon,
the rest of the ribbons are from my stash.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and my stash.
All the die cuts were done with my Silhouette Cameo.

Below is the card I made for them as well.....

Gecko Galz Spring Fling DT Project

Good morning everyone!

I hope you all have been enjoying Gecko Galz Spring Fling!
Everyday one of the DT will have a Spring Project featured on Gecko Galz.
With each project there is an explanation on how we've made our projects.

Today is my turn!

I started with a framed piece I bought at Goodwill.....

And this is what it looks like now.....

I removed the original image and used the backer board for my piece.
I painted the backer board with Folk Art Vintage White acrylic paint.
I stamped a few different stamps here and there,
 then randomly sprayed
Tsukineko walnut ink,
Dylusions pure sunshine ink and
Perfect Pearls Mists sunflower sparkle all over.
I used a paper towel to soak up some of the moisture then let the rest dry.

A few pieces of torn tissue paper in a couple areas,
a diamond mask from SaCrafters and some modeling paste
add a bit of dimension.

Starting with an oval doily I began layering.....

the Gecko Galz images I used are from
Birds of a Feather Collage set
Alter Me Collage set
Wild About Flowers Collage set
and
Vanity Fair Paper pkg

I fussy cut the flower image and a bird.

The flower image and the birds piece, in the center, were added with pop dots.

To finish off I added the lace & pearl trim and
the crochet fan that I sprayed with the pure sunshine and walnut ink sprays I used on the backer board.

The frame...
I simply painted, then sanded some of the paint off.

Here is another look at the finished piece.....

I am going to have a hard time letting go of this piece but I promised my husband three pieces to go to work with him and this is one of them.
