My...umm...new chair.....

Hi there everyone!

For a while now I have been saying I need a new desk chair.

The cushion was flattening
and
the leather seat can be a bit sweaty at times & who needs sweaty buns!

Since the new chair wasn't going to happen I took matters in my own hands!

This is what I started with.....

Some extra cushioning,
a piece of material and
some staples brought me to this.....

Add a cosy turtleneck sweater that I got at Goodwill and.....

I used the sleeves to make a snowman and a lamp cozy this winter.

I stitched the sleeve holes closed
as well as
the top edges of the turtleneck, making that a little pocket.
I don't know that I'll use the pocket but it's an option,
I can turn the sweater around and have the pocket in the back of the chair.

Below is a picture of the side of the chair where you can see the sleeves are stitched closed.

So much more comfier than it was before!
And prettier too!

Baby Boy tag

Good afternoon everyone!

Today I have a tag to show off!

I am having a good time with Heather's new Onesies collections!

Here is my tag.....

The first thing I did was add antique linen distress ink then glitter to all the collage elements.

I started my layering with one of the green traditional tags and using pop dots I topped that with the blue onesie pieces that I layered together.

My daughter suggested, since it was a boys onesie maybe a set of suspenders would be cute and I agree!

I used a bit of blue & brown ribbon that I added the antique linen distress ink to and topped that with a couple of buttons, that I was hoarding!
I threaded a bit of brown and white bakers twine in the button.

Below is a close up of the suspenders and buttons.....

Over the ends of the suspenders I added the banner piece then topped that with a couple of embellishment pieces from the green onesie collage set.
Love that cute little lamb and his glittery bow!

After many different arrangement trials I added the sentiment boxes, also from the green onesie collage set.

I finished this tag off with a couple bits of lace trim and bows that I made with my bow-it-all.

Here is another look at the tag.....

Baby Girl Card.....

Hi everyone!

I don't usually post at night but I couldn't wait with this one...
I have a cute little baby girl card to show you!

I used a couple of new collage sheets from Heather's Etsy Store.....
&
I also used the

Here is my card.....

I cut the collage sheets on my Cameo.

I added worn lipstick distress ink on all of the elements,
then I started with the green onesie card base and layered the pink onesies on top.
I'm in a liquid pearls mood lately so there are dots of pearl liquid pearls all over the front, back and inside of the card.
There is diamond stickles all over the cute little lamb and waterfall stickles on the lambs ribbon.

I added the "Sweet" text box to a banner and put a pop dot underneath to give it a lift in the center, then glued the edges down and added a couple of cute little roses.

I made the bows with pretty pink seam binding, using my bow-it-all.
On the front of the card I added a couple pieces of lace trim that I cut to tuck under the bow.

Below,
I don't normally decorate the backs of my cards but.....

I had to add ruffles!

It is a little girls onesie after all!

How cute it that?

I love the double bow added to the top of the ruffles too!

And finally,
the inside of the card.....

Such a sweet little image!

I love that Heather thinks of everything like the flap on the bottom of the onesies and the text boxes!

Valentine Fry Boxes...

Good morning everyone!

I know Valentine's Day is done but I have a couple of fry boxes that I made to give to my grandkids that I'd like to show you!

I used
and
all from

Here they are.....

Cute aren't they?

I was so excited when Heather told me she was making fry boxes!
I couldn't wait to play with them!

They do come with a heart to fit into the spot on the front and one on the back but I used a couple of the Conversation Hearts that I already had cut with the images on them.
The fry boxes also come in several different colors...
pink, cream, natural, blue, green & red!

I added glitter to the edges of my granddaughters boxes and ribbon on the edges of my grandsons.
The girls also got a bit of lace trim
and they all have a little sentiment added with the text boxes.
I was also in a little bit of a doodling mood so I doodled,
along the top edges & around the hearts,
of the boxes inside and out.

Inside the boxes I gave them all a cup of hot cocoa, a piece of chocolate and a banner I made for them.

Below are pictures of the individual boxes.....

Good Morning everyone!

Over at My Artistic Adventures we have one for you!

We would like to see two of something in this challenge...
two buttons, two bows, two flowers, etc...

(sorry no digital entries please)
whatever tangible project you desire.

*****

So.....

What does the Second Day of Christmas make you think?

How does the Second Day of Christmas inspire you?

I can't wait to see!

*****

On the Second Day of Christmas my true love gave to me a set of mini canvas's to play with!

I love to make new ornaments for my Christmas tree every year and these canvas's are so small and cute I thought they'd work great as ornaments!

The collage sets I used is the
Victorian Vintage Christmas Angels
&
the Shabby Vintage Victorian Christmas Tag

I started with gesso on the canvas's...once dried I added mod podge.
On top of the mod podge I layed the angel tags upside down, rubbing them into the mod podge with my fingers.
When they were set I used a wet wipe and started wiping the paper off leaving the image on the canvas.
(If you are using an image with writing on it you may want to flip it so it is right side when you are done...I didn't do that so the writing on the little blue images book was backward but since I wanted the Merry Christmas text box there it worked out fine for me)

I used broken china & scattered straw distress stains on the edges of the canvas's.

There is goldenrod glitter on the yellow canvas and dreams glitter on the blue.
(glitters are from Art Glitter)

Below you can see the roses and ribbon that I added to the tops.

The gold ribbon was wrapped around the whole canvas & tied on the bottom
and the silver ribbon was just added to the top.

Now I just have to wait for Christmas to come around so I can hang these on my tree!

*****

I hope you will join us in this challenge!
Think about how much easier Christmas will be if we could get some of the work done now!
I don't know about you but I'm always in a last minute rush before Christmas!

Valentine tickets tag...

Good morning everyone!

Today I have a cute little tag to show you!

Using three of Heather's collage sets,
&

Here is my tag...

I cut the tag smaller with my Cameo,
I recut the heart to make it shorter to fit on the little tag,
then I added glitter to them both.

I glued the heart onto the tag leaving an opening in the top to stick the little tickets in.

I put one tag on top of the heart,
added a flower and a pretty (seam binding) bow that I made with my bow-it-all.

Below is a look at the tag with the tickets out...

Pretty little bottle

Good morning everyone!

I wanted to do something a little different then my norm this weekend so I decided to alter a couple of bottles.

Today I'm sharing one that I think is pretty in a simple way!

I used old scraps from dress pattern tissue paper.
I stamped it with a couple different stamps, tore it in pieces then mod podged it all over the bottle.

I then went hunting through my piles of lace, trim, and ribbons.
I glued a few different trims/ribbons on the bottle,
added pearl trim to the top of the bottom trim.

The flower spray is from Prima.

The bow's I made with my Bow-it-All

What do you think..was I right..."Pretty in a simple way"?

Spring Green card

Good morning everyone!

Today I have a quick card to show you.

This is one of my DT projects for Gecko Galz.

I started with a couple pieces of paper from the
It isn't Easy Being Green paper pkg from Gecko Galz.
Very pretty paper pkg!

I colored one of the Arora Wings Stamps with my Spectrum Noir markers and added some liquid pearls.
I fussy cut the stamp and used pop dots to add it to the mat.

Below the mat,
 that I pop dotted,
is a bit of fringy ribbon along the seam of the two papers.

Along the right side of the card I added a bow, with long tails,
that I made with my bow-it-all.

I dotted the top of the card with liquid pearls.

Thank You card.....

Good morning everyone!

Today I am back with a card I made with more of the Graphic45 Once Upon a Springtime paper collection.
I found this paper at Tuesday Mornings a while ago and have been hoarding it.....
no more!
Hope you like it...lot's of scraps to use up!

Not only is this paper too pretty to hoard but it goes so well with My Artistic Adventures collage sets so I'm having fun putting them together in my projects!

Here is the easle card I put together.....

I distress the edges of all the papers used with my Ingvild Bolme distresser.

The tag on the cover and  the fancy tag inside are from
and
the red polka dot banner is part of the

I cut the leave sprays and the shape I stamped "thank you" on
with my Cameo and colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers.

The tags were added with pop dots.

I used my oval punch for the sentiment pieces that I stamped with worn lipstick distress ink.

The lace is from my stash.

My Diet Journal

Hi friends!

Today I have a mini journal to show you.

I have been trying for a while now to lose a little bit of weight and I have tried writing a food journal before.
Unfortunately I was unsuccessful with that.

I found a new plan that seems to fit me, so I decided to make another journal.

I used a scrap piece of a paper from Graphic45's Once Upon a Springtime collection.
I ripped the edges and distressed it and all the other papers with vintage photo distress ink.
I also tore a piece of corregated box.
The seed pkg is from Gecko Galz, the Pretty Seed Pack collage set and the pocket watch is from the Tic Tac & Cameo collage set.
The tag is from My Artistic Adventures, the Romantic Roses Shabby White Music  fancy tag set.

I layered all these pieces together and added several flowers from my stash as well as a bit of lace trim, a little bling and a bow, with seam binding from
Really Reasonable Ribbon, I made with my Bow-it-All.

I used my Bind-it-All to put the journal together.

I finished it all off with a little bit of gesso all over everything to blend the colors on all the pieces.

The larger flowers were made using a couple of flower punches and left over pieces from the
The center gems were added with my I-rock.

Sparkling little ATC...

Good morning my crafty buddies!

Today I have a cute little ATC I threw together.

I love the papers from Graphic45's Once Upon a Springtime Collection, so that is where I started.....

I layered the two G45 background papers that I had added some glitter to.
I topped that with one of Heather's pretty hearts from her Conversation Hearts Image Medium collage set, also with glitter added to the edges,
then pop dotted to the ATC.

The glittery rose on top
(I love this rose)
is from the Shabby Pink Tea Time collage set
and the text boxes are from the Romantic Focals Cupid Text boxes set!

The bit of lace that was tucked under the heart was white,
I sprayed it with My Mojito Green Starburst spray from Lindy's Stamp Gang.

Here are my cards.....

I used the
Erica's stamps are so adorable and this one is so cute!

Above, the pinstripe background paper is from
Graphic45 (A Proper Gentleman collection)
and the blue & white printed paper is from
one of my favorite Gecko Galz paper packs, Blue Willow.

Below the background paper is also from the same Graphic45 paper collection.

The little Valentine heart (Conversation Hearts) on the above card
and the text boxes (Romantic Focals Cupid Text Boxes) on both cards,

I went around the edges of these (text boxes and conversation heart),
on the above card with the metalic gel pen
and
on the bottom card with glitter (Dream) from Art Glitter.
All of them topped with Glossy Accents.

To color the stamp I used a combination of Spectrum Noir & Tim Holtz Distress markers as well as embossing and metalic gel pens.

I hope you can see the shine on the hearts above from the metalic gel pens...I love it!

On the bottom card I added a couple of ribbons behind the stamp for a little more texture.

Hi there everyone!

Today I have a DT project from Gecko Galz.

Along with the wonderful Gecko Galz products,
this month,
we got to play with Arora Wings digital stamps!

Here is one of the cards I made.....

I thought this one was such a beautiful digi stamp!

The green background papers are from the It's Not Easy Being Green paper pkg from Gecko Galz.
I distressed the edges put them on a card blank.

I tore the edges around the stamp and inked them with vintage photo distress ink and added that to the card, on top of a doily

The lace trim is from my stash.
I made the bow with my Bow-it-All and added a couple pieces of pearl trim and a couple flowers.

The seed pack is from the Pretty Seed Pack collage sheet at Gecko Galz.

Above you can see a little bit of the sparkle in her hair.
I wanted to make her hair shimmer so I did that with some glitter glue.
And for the water beads I added bisque liquid pearls.

Below is a close up of the seed pack.

Anything Goes challenge - Love You box......

Good morning everyone!

It's time for a new challenge over at

The challenge.....#3 Anything Goes!

Use any digi from My Artistic Adventures Etsy
and create anything your heart desires...tags, boxes, cards, etc...
(sorry, no digital entries)

I made this mini matchbox.....

I started with a matchbox that I cut on my Silhouette Cameo.
To cover the matchbox I printed one of the Vintage Music Large Tags and cut it to fit the all the sides of the box then went around all the edges with some glitter (Challis) from Art Glitter

To the top of the box I added mesh ribbon and a bit of crochet lace.

I then, printed a couple of the Romantic Focals Cupid Text box red hearts.
I trimmed one of the hearts to fit on top of the box, over the ribbons.
I added Wild Rose glitter, also from Art Glitter, around the edges of the heart.

Below you can see the box opened with a small tag I made using a small tag from the
I added the same mesh and crochet ribbon to the tag and added one of the
Conversation Hearts Image Card Bases hearts with Wild Rose glitter with a couple of little leaves tucked underneath.
The bows on the top of the box and on the tag were made with my favorite new toy, my Bow-it-All.
Under the bows I added a couple of pearl trim pieces from my stash.

On top of the heart, the sentiment boxes are from the
Romantic Roses Birds collage set
and the little rose is from my stash.

I cut up a couple of the red hearts to cover the edges and inside of the drawer piece of the box.

Above you can see that I added a bit of ribbon for a little handle to open the box.
Below you can see I tucked that ribbon in under the paper that I laid inside the box.
