Lamp for my daughters room....

Good morning everyone!

I want to show off the little candle lamp I put together for my daughter's room...

I bought the little pan and candle lamp from

I put a piece of floral foam inside the pan.
I cut a notch out of the top of the foam to set the candle inside a bit.
Then I added a bit of moss to cover it up.

I pinned the lamp down and used toothpicks instead of the plastic stems for the flowers and the leaves, to push into the foam.

I finished it off with a few little bows in the center of the leaves.

So easy!

Looks great in her purple room!

Thanks for visiting!

Happy Anniversary Card

Good morning everyone!

I have a Gecko Galz DT project to show you today!

I made this card for my brother & sister-in-laws wedding anniversary.

I started with this months Gecko Galz freebie paper.
After the winter we've had this bright yellow paper gave a boost to my winter mood...
hopes of spring & summer and bright sunshiny days!

The sweet couple image is from the
April Showers collage collection.
The little tag and the Roses image are from the
April Colors collage sheet.

The button is a chipboard button that I covered and added glossy accents to...then a bit of twine.

I used a new tool...
to make my mats.

The happy anniversary banner is from

I stamped the sentiment and added it on top of the banner.

I used pop dots to add the banner to the card and
a couple of I-rock gems to each end of the banner.

There is lace trim behind the images and the Prima floral spray.

My bow was made with my Bow-it-all...love that!

Below is another look at the finished piece...

Painted watering can.....

Good morning everyone!

I hope you all are doing well and enjoying some spring weather!

Today I want to share with you a little rustic can I painted.
It was already looking pretty rustic when I bought it but I wanted to add a flower to it.

I am new to painting so this was scary and thrilling at the same time!

I was worried I would ruin the rustic look that I already loved!

I am pleased to say I love how it came out!
(patting myself on my back)

What do you think?

I think it looks great sitting in front of my altered tin I made last month.
If you missed the post on how I made that you can see it HERE.

Comments are always welcome and much appreciated!

Have a great weekend!

Cute little wall hanging.....

Good morning everyone!

I hope you all are doing well!
Unfortunately I have been fighting a cold for over a week now and it's not looking like it wants to ease up yet.

Because of this cold I am not in much of a crafty mood but I do have a piece I want to share with you that I made this month for a Facebook challenge,
The theme is "Spring"

Here is my project.....

I painted a mini canvas.

I mod podged a scrap piece of
Graphic45's On the Boardwalk paper collection
to the canvas.

I added some glitter dots around the paper.

The butterfly and DREAM piece are from
Gecko Galz Pixie Dust Jewel It collection.
I added glitter to the butterfly and around the edge of the dream piece.

I used pop dots for the DREAM piece and a couple under the butterflies wings.

The flowers are from my stash.
I twisted the stem piece from a couple of the flowers.

Below you can see the glitter.....

you can also see that I painted leaves on the edges of the canvas.

I glued the canvas to a wide piece of ribbon and added a piece of twig,
from my yard (for the piece of nature needed in the challenge),
to the top and a piece of twine to hang it with.

I added a little leaf and bow to the top of the ribbon.

Here is another look at the finished piece.....

Easter Tag

Good morning!

Today I have a quick little tag to share.

I actually made this tag last month when I saw this image from Gecko Galz

How cute it Mr Bunny?
I love this image!

Mr Bunny as well as the other...
"Bunnies sliding down the egg" image
(in the lower right corner),
are from Gecko Galz
Hip Hop Easter collage set.

I distressed the edges of all the pieces except the banner piece and the fussy cut, bunnies sliding image.
I also added vintage photo distress ink to everything.

The leaf die cut was cut with my Cameo.
I added peeled paint distress ink to that.

The flowers, bling, twine and crochet flower are all from my stash.

I made the bow on top with my bow-it-all.

I added pop dots to the back of the bunnies sliding down the egg image.
Below is a closer look at them.

I added a few drops of liquid pearls to finish off my piece.

I hope you like my cute little bunnies tag!

Altered plastic Easter Egg

Good morning everyone!

Just popping in for a quick show and tell!

You know those plastic Easter eggs.....
The ones we all.....
umm.....
The Easter Bunny
fills and hides in our yards for the kids to find?

No little kids here to go hunting so I decided to take them and alter a few.

This one I simply took some tissue paper and stamped all over it then mod podged it all over the egg.

Then I took a piece of lace trim, a pearl spray, a couple of flowers that I layered together and a piece of a feather and hot glued them all down in the center.

I added a little bitty flower on the bottom so it would have feet to stand on.

Below is a look at the back.....

These below I was experimenting with
book pages, scrapbook papers, and more stamped tissue paper.....

A bit messy but so much fun!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great week!

Easter boxes...

Hi everyone!

I hope you all have been enjoying a wonderful Easter!

We had a nice quiet day here.
I made dinner.
And now it's even quieter!
Everyone, but me, has fallen asleep!
LOL
It was a good dinner!

I wanted to pop in and show off a couple of boxes I made for Easter goodies.

Both boxes were made with a couple of tags and some little tickets from
My Artistic Adventures Etsy

The first one I used 4 tags (2 pink & 2 green)
and glued them all together to form this box.....

Then I added some lace to the sides for extra stability.

I used pop dots to add my glittery tickets...
a different one on each side.

I also added some pearl trim and
ribbon bows that I made with one of my favorite toys..Bow-it-All!

And I finished off with a bit of pearl spray, a flower and some tulle to the front.

The second box is a bit simpler...

Using one of the same (pink) tags as above I folded it and cut the edges to form the box.
I glued it all together then added a piece of another tag to form the sleeve to close the box.
I topped that with one of the tickets that I had used my crop-a-dile corner chompers on, then glittered.

Easy Peasy!

My daughter really liked this one!
It's a tiny little box...
big...or small enough for a little ring she spied at a store about a week or so ago!
I got lucky and ended up back at that store a couple days later!

Happy Easter!

My Artistic Adventures Challenge #8...

Good morning everyone!

Time for another My Artistic Adventures Challenge
This one is
On the Forth Day of Christmas

So.....

We want to see 4 of something on your project!
(anything you chose..buttons, bows, gems, brads, eyelets...your choice)
Don't forget to use an element from one of
My Artistic Adventures Etsy collage sets!

Create any tangible project...
card, tag, atc, scrapbook page, altered art, banner, etc...
(no digital entries please)
You can find the challenge rules HERE

I made a card
and
my 4 of something are the stars.....

I used the Vintage Angels Peace on Earth collage set.

My background paper is from Graphic45's Once Upon a Springtime collection.
I topped that with a piece of a corrugated box I cut up, tore the top layer off and added gesso to.

I added vintage photo distress ink to everything.

I used some stickles glitter glue around the edges of the stars!
Stars have to have sparkle right?
I also added some to the corrugated piece as well as the angels wings.

Then I got out my trusty pop dots and started layering the stars, angels and sentiment.

I added glossy accents to the Peace on Earth sentiment to make it stand out a bit.

I finished off by adding the fiber/yarn around the corrugated piece...
I think it gives it a bit of a cloudy appearance, what do you think?

This will be our last challenge until September.
Heather is giving us the summer off to go outside and play in our gardens.
After the winter we've all had who doesn't want to get outside and see the sun?
I know I do!
There will, however, be a DT call in July!

The Wizard of Oz...

Good morning!

Today I have a tag to share!

I've been hoarding the Wizard of Oz papers from
Graphic 45
but,
since my daughter was in a production of
The Wizard of Oz at school I decided it was time to break it out and make something with it!

When I decided to make a tag I hadn't really planned it out!
That's kinda how I roll...
everything on the fly!

Here is my tag.....

A little overboard, maybe...LOL

I couldn't help myself!

Once I got going through all the papers I wanted to use it all!

I made charms using glossy accents and
Tim Holtz Fragments,
then strung them on a few pieces of chain from my stash.

I also added a few beads to some of that chain.

On the poppies background paper I added
coral reef Art Glitter
to some of the poppies.

And speaking of glitter I used wild rose,
also from Art Glitter, on Dorothy's ruby red shoes!

My daughter was,
among other things,
a munchkin so I had to add the munchkin image to the tag.
I ripped the edges and gave it a burnt look by adding vintage photo, then walnut stain distress inks.

Also used vintage photo on the image of the ruby slippers.

Below is a close up of those sparkling slippers...

I made the bows with my bow-it-all
(one of my favorite tools)!

I finished with a piece of wire to hang the tag with.

Thank you for stopping by!
Have a great week everyone!

Easter Egg mobile

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today I have a quick, cute project to share with you!

Heather at My Artistic Adventures designed these cute Easter Eggs and I just had to make something with them!

During my contemplation of what to do I remembered a ring I had from an old lamp shade
and
 a mobile idea was born!

I was in a bit of a hurry in making this so I didn't measure the strings I used but then again I wouldn't have wanted them all level anyway.
I think it looks great with them all over the place.
I added a bead to the sting to weigh them down a bit.

Here below is a picture of it in my window
 and
my doggie, Oreo, waiting by the door to go out...

Pictures does not do this justice!
I really love the look of this in my window!

Altered bottle

Good morning everyone!

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying some much missed sunshine!

Today I have an altered bottle to share!

I started with some scrap tissue paper from a dress pattern.
I stamped several different stamps all over,
with vintage photo & walnut stain distress inks,
then mod podged it all on the bottle.

I cut a cross from the Easter Cross collage set

and added it to the front of the bottle.

Then using a few ribbons, lace and trims I added them to the bottle.
I love that fluffy rosy trim on the bottom!
I've been hoarding that!

I made the bow with my bow-it-all.

I added a crochet flower that I made and a couple of mulberry flowers from my stash.

Below is a look at the back of the bottle...

Here's a close up of the piece of rosy cross,
I had added crackle accents to it....

Today I have an Easter card to share with you.

I started with the Jodi Lees Natures Garden papers for the background.

Then  I grabbed a few of collage sheets from My Artistic Adventures...
The Spring Pink Banner (behind the beauty in a bonnet),
Spring Green Banner (I cut them into small little pieces for the green banner),
and Spring Curvy Banner (the yellow banner behind the sentiment)

The image is from Gecko Galz Easter Bonnets collage set.

I added several glitters from Art Glitter all over the card!

Love that sparkle from these glitters!
