Altered set of drawers...

Hello everyone!

Today's project I want to show you is a simply altered set of drawers.....

I used a crackle mask and some spring green texture magic dimensional paint on the top and sides.

I'd like to tell you the name of the paper line I used for the drawer faces but I don't have the cover on the paper pkg and I can not remember so if anyone knows feel free to add that in the comments.

I added some vintage photo distress in all over.

Finally, all of my threads in one place,
right next to my sewing machine!
YAY!

I added the same mask and texture paint to the tag that is hanging off my scissors.

School Days...

Good morning everyone!

I have a layout to show you today.
I haven't done any layouts in so long!

This is a couple pic's of my daughters first day of school years ago.....

I used a few of the School Days collage sheet ephemera from Gecko Galz.

The flower was sprayed with crushed grape dylusions ink spray then topped it with some buttercream acrylic paint.
The ribbon was sprayed with treasured hymn shimmerz paint spritz.

Also, from Gecko Galz, I used one of the Butterfly Wings collage sheet butterflies.
I added some clear rock candy distress crackle to the butterfly.

Card

Good morning everyone!

Just popping in to show you a card I made using
Gecko Galz Butterfly Meadow paper pkg,
Butterfly wings collage sheet
&
Mothers Day collage set by Heather Hudson for Gecko Galz.

The swirl piece was cut on my Cameo with a scrap piece of patterned paper in my stash.

In this last picture you can see the glitter glue I added to the rose to give it a little sparkle and I smeared some Smooch all over the butterfly with my finger for shimmer.

The lace is from my stash.

Baby Doll in Garden...

Hi everyone!

I am on the DT at
and this months stamp is a cutie,
 designed by
Roza Silva of Roza Country Designs!

Today I want to show you a couple of cards I made for my DT project...

The first one simply shows you the stamp as is.....

Told you it was a cutie!

I kept it simple, just stamping the image and mounting it on my card.
I cut the edges, of my stamped piece, with my new
corner chomper...Love it!

The background papers are all from

The blue polka dot ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

On the card below I chose to color my stamp with a combination of
Spectrum Noir and Distress markers.

I fussy cut the stamp.....

pop dotted him on my card.....

then placed the little birdie on the stem of the flower.

A couple of sticky back gems finish it off!

You can purchase this cute stamp here.

Butterfly tag...

Hi everyone!

Sorry I seem to have been slacking these days!
Didn't realize how long it had been since my last post!
Busy, busy, busy!

Today I want to show you a tag that I did for one of my Gecko Galz DT projects this month.....

I started with a tag blank and added Mushroom Cap paper
from this months Butterfly Meadow paper pkg collection at
Gecko Galz.
Unfortunately I covered most of it up but in the picture below you can still see some of it poking out on the bottom left side.
It's a really pretty polka dot paper that I will definitely be using again.

I added modeling paste with a diamond stencil and sprayed it all with some copper perfect pearls mist, then sanded it a bit to bring back some of the white modeling paste.

I distressed the edges of the tag,
and my quote from the Quotes to Live By collage sheet & the vintage label from the Ephemera Days collage sheet,
both from Gecko Galz.

The quote was added with pop dots so I could tuck the rose buds underneath.
(you can see a close up of that below)

Also the quote piece was cut so I could slip a couple pieces of  Really Reasonable Ribbon to the sides for a little added sparkle.

The butterfly was fussy cut from one of the Papillion Jewels collection at Gecko Galz.
I added a pearl body.

I added a Tim Holtz swirl die piece that I had on my desk ready to go from an earlier project that I ended up not needing it for.

Added the rose/leaf cabochon that I got from Piece by Piece.
I painted it with gesso then copper and green patina perfect pearls mists.

I topped it all with a little silk ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon
and a wooden bead from my stash.

Spring layout.....

Hi everyone!

Tonight I want to show you a quick layout I did this morning.

It started out because I wanted to play with some Core'dinations paper that I have in my hoard pile.

Here it is.....

I kept everything pretty easy...

I distressed all the edges,
ran my core'dinations paper through my Cuttlebug with a paisley embossing folder then sanded over the embossing,
and
stamped the word Spring with walnut stain distress ink.

The image is from Gecko Galz Monet Dreams collage set.

The ribbon for my bows is from Really Reasonable Ribbon (RRR).
I topped them with a button from my stash.

Also from RRR is the hemp twine that I threaded on the button.
I love the threads of gold mixed with the hemp.

Pretty little pillow.....

Good morning everyone!

I am so excited about this one!

I have seen all these pretty, lacy, pieces that a lot of people in blog land stitch together.....
pillows, purses, sashes, etc.....

and being a lover of lace,
and all those pretty works of art,
I wished that someone would pull my name out of a hat and send one to me.....

((sigh))

No such luck!

So after some time
(maybe a year)
I finally got up the nerve to lay all the pieces together and
set it on top of my sewing machine and look at it
 for a week!

LOL

The week ended yesterday!

I finally got up the nerve to do the sewing and put my piece together!

YIKES!

My sewing machine made this horribly loud noise!

OH NO!

Oops.....In my haste to put this together I apparently threaded the machine wrong and my sewing machine let me know immediately!
Scary noise but cool at the same time!
Glad to know my machine is that smart and stopped me before I made a mess of my machine!

Anyway.....
I played with a few of the embroidery stitches which unfortunately didn't come out well in the pictures but I finally got my piece together.....

YAY.....I LOVE IT!

As you know I am on the DT at Gecko Galz.....
I used an image from GG's Artful Visions collage sheet.

The laces are from my stash.

A couple of closeups.....

Isn't that lace with the yellow ribbon and flowers pretty?
I bought that at Lacy Discoveries quite a while ago and horded it.....
waiting for the right piece to use it on.
(she no longer has this in her shop but she does have lots of other pretty's there!)

The bottom piece was a recent purchase from an antique mall.
It was a bit tattered but
that made it easier to think about cutting it up!

In unrelated news.....

Here's a picture of my scrappy buddy.....

All tuckered out after a morning full of running and playing with her mother!

Address box.....

Good morning everyone!

In an attempt to use some horded papers I altered a box that I will be using as an address book box.

The paper I used for this is Pink Paislee's Queen Bee.
I love the vintage look of the paper and
the addition of vintage photo distress ink gave it more of an antiquey touch.

The crochet lace trim is from Piece to Piece.

A look at the back.....

The large flower is one I made with my Tattered Florals Die.
The rose buds are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The rose, wood leaf & swirl corner trim are from Prima.
I colored the leaf with peeled paint distress marker
and
I sprayed the swirl corner piece with green patina perfect pearls mist.

A peek at the inside.....
