Cozy Warm & Bright

Here is a really simple card.

Using silver embossing powder I added the sentiment to the trees die,
then pop dotted them.

I finished with a strip of silver glittery paper.

Warm Winter Wishes

Here is another elegant card.

I think I have to get some more of this glittery paper.
I love the elegant look!

The flower was put together with a mulberry flower & a canvas flower that I died red.

Added some die cut foliage.

Finished with a sentiment.

White and Gold

I am in love with this Martha Stewart punch!
It's so pretty!

I used gold embossing powder for the sentiment and
gold glittery paper I found at Walmart for the mat and banner bits.

Simple and elegant!

25th

This was a simple card.

Although,
I've had this tree die for a while and for some reason felt like it didn't work for me every time I tried using it.

Starting with an embossing folder for the background,
I added some white pen for the snow on the branches,
and used a stitched hillside border for the snow bank.

The 25 is a stamp that I fussy cut.

Christmas card

This Christmas card was done with dies and punches.
The fancy die and the holly leaves dies are new.
(Gotta love Tuesday Mornings for dies)

I love the flower dies!
So nice to make flowers when I need them.

The scalloped edge was done with an old Martha Stewart border punch.

Peace & Joy

This card was fun for me.
I don't usually color too much because my wrists start to hurt after too much.
The pain wasn't too bad and
I'm pretty proud of my shading (I'm not great at that)!
I used Spectrum Noir markers.

I added some sparkle to the snowy branches with a sparkle pen.

Thanks for visiting!

Poinsettia stamp

These two cards were made with a stamp I drew and carved.

I'd seen a couple of cards made with large flower stamps
and
1 I don't have any large flower stamps & 2 I'm in Christmas mode,
so poinsettia it is!

It came out better than I'd hoped!

I colored them both with spectrum noir pens.

The bottom card base was die-cut a week or so ago with a new die I wanted to try out.
Of course once it was cut, in this pink paper, I didn't know what to do with it so it sat on my desk until I made this poinsettia.
The plan was to clear emboss the stamp then color it,
but I didn't realize that my embossing pad was tinted with a pinky-red color.
I went with it and added it to the pink base.

I used a shimmer pen on the white paper behind the die cut.

Wishing you joy

Here is a
nontraditional Christmas card.

I've had a love-hate relationship with this green paper for a while now.
I keep wanting to use it but haven't been very successful,
until now.
I love it paired with the grey.

Merry Christmas

For far too long now I've spent too much time watching videos and not creating much.

With Christmas coming though,
I've gone,
quite possibly,
 overboard with making cards!

Can't stop!
I'm obsessed!
Love making Christmas cards!
Don't you?

In my video watching,
I've found a couple of people who make their own card kits!
Then take the kits and make their cards!
Great way to use up stash!

So yesterday I decided to make a kit.

I ended up making 15 cards!
(sorry for the overload of cards)

My kit had 5 12x12 papers,
and random bits around my space...
brads, eyelets, ribbon, etc.
I also used embossing powders & stamps.

Now, usually, when I make my Christmas cards they are all different!
I like the variety I guess!
However, I had planned on using a couple of card templates,
and,
then ended up doing my random cards,
but all with the same papers.
LOL

The cards below I put together using all the scraps of lef

Let it snow!

I have a Christmas card making obsession and it's in full swing!

I have so many different snowflake stamps so why not a snowflake background using a few of them.
I did this on a textured paper.

I added a snowflake die cut & punch on top of some silver thread.

The sentiment is embossed with silver.

Hope you're having a great week!
Thanks for the visit!

Halloween tags

I noticed this morning that Heather Hudson has been playing around with her digital collage sheets again and posted on her blog about it.

So  I thought I'd get out my stash of her Halloween goodies and make a couple of tags!

The tag above used several collage sheets!

On this one, the circle piece is from one collage set and the sentiment is from another.

And the background paper/tags are from her Halloween Journal set.
I cut the papers down to make tags.
