Grand Easter Gifts

Hi everyone!
Hope you're all doing well!

I haven't been in much of a mood to create these days but with Easter coming I couldn't go without making something for my Grand kids!

They will be happy to see that they are filled with candy!
LOL

I cut the carrots and the "Happy Easter" circle's with my Cameo.

Here is a close up of the girls...

The Carnations are from Iamroses.

They were a brown...

 I sprayed a couple with
Pink Taffy Glimmer Mist
and
a couple with Stream Adirondack Color Wash
 topped with
 Walnut Gold Glimmer Mist.

I also did a couple with the
Walnut Gold Glimmer Mist but I ended up not using them...
ready for another project.

And this one is my grandsons...

Couldn't go with flowers for him so I added the fish button.
If he hasn't yet he will be fishing with his Daddy soon!

Have a great weekend!

Simply Green

Hi everyone!

My fingers are crossed that I am finally on the getting better side of this cold.
Still not great, but getting better!

The other day,
in an attempt to forget about this cold,
(didn't work)
I made this card...

The paper I used was out of my scrap pile!

Happy Anniversary

My first baby will be celebrating her anniversary soon so today I made her card.

I used some of the leftover papers from the album I made for her when she got married.

Her favorite colors are red and black.

She loves polka dots so I had to add them too.

12 Tags of 2012 - March

Hi everyone!

Just popping in,
between coughs,
to show you the tag I made last night for
March's
12 Tags of 2012 with Tim Holtz.

Tim used a butterfly die for his mosaic pieces and metal flowers on the bottom but since I have neither I flipped them and used the Tattered Floral die for the mosaic pieces and a metal butterfly for the bottom.

Also don't have the cement antiquities embossing powders he had so I used Martha Stewart's glitters for my grout.

They look so much prettier than I expected them to!

Glossy accents on the "tiles".

Oops!

I just picked the tag up, took a look at it and,
heehee,
I missed 1 tile!

It's all good though, it's glossed now!

LOL

My sentiment and butterfly above

and

I'm not sure if you can tell in this shot below, but there is a real pretty shimmer on the tag from the Walnut Gold Glimmer Mist I used.

I hope everyone is enjoying better health than me right now!

Spring is in the air

Here is another tag I made using a
Gecko Galz image,
if you haven't already, you really should go over and check out all the images, papers, digi stamps and other goodies Leanne has over there.

I also used Gimp and my Cameo.

I love this image.
She is so cute!

I used my Cameo to cut out the letters as well as the tag.

Here is a close up of the little girl and the butterfly.

I used my Distress markers for the background flowers and leaves.
Liquid Pearls Bisque for the flower centers.

Here is the back...

The lace on the bottom is from my daughter's stash.

Trash to Treasure

Good morning all!

I am not doing too well these days.
My husband shared the cold he had and it is slamming me.
And if that wasn't bad enough I pulled a muscle in my shoulder today.

But enough about that.

I spent most of the day yesterday just vegetating but last night with a small burst of energy I decided to work on a project for the

I forgot to take a picture of my trash before starting but I managed to catch myself before totally covering it...

I am still working on getting rid of my scraps so all the papers I used are from my scrap box.

My new pen/pencil box.

I'm not sure what I will be putting in there but I also added a pocket in front.

Simple but practical.

I am also linking this up to Vintage Page Designs Destash Challenge.

Easter tag

Woohoo and Yippie too!

I was playing with my Cameo yesterday and through a LOT of trial and error I was finally able to take  images I edited in GIMP,
the little girl came from Heather (not sure where she got it) and
Peter Rabbit came from Gecko Galz,
and put them together with a tag and cut it out as one piece!

First picture is the
"Nope it didn't work" shot!

Poor little girl got her backside cut off!

But, lookie, lookie.....

I got it!
All in one piece!
I am so proud of myself,
can you tell?

What's Easter without a bunny in a basket?

Little bunny got a flat-back pearl for a nose and some Irock gems for eyes.
I added some Buttercup liquid pearls all around the edges of the tag.
The little roses are Recollections, the large rose was a gift from Lacee, not sure where I got the little flowers I tucked in there and the tear drop pearls I tucked in there are from Pro 31 Designs.

A touch of glossy accent on the title and flowers with they're stems coiled.

There she is with Peter Rabbit at her feet, I wonder if she knows he's there.

Another full shot.....

I love that the wire I used for the hanger is the same color as her skirt and her kerchief...
Peter Rabbits jacket too!

The back.....

This is blank for now because I am going to write something on it before sending it off to my Granddaughters!

Have a Happy Day!

Vintage tag

I made this tag this morning

The background is a piece of scrap paper,
the images are images I printed last summer and never got around to using,
the butterfly I fussy cut & added some crackle accents,
the couple I simply put vintage photo distress ink around the edges,
the flower I made from ribbon,
a little feather,
then a couple of pieces of pearl spray I got at Pro31 Design,
the "Dream" brad was a gift from a fellow scrappy friend, Starr
I added a flat back gem to cover the hole.
I distressed the edges of the tag and added vintage photo distress ink,
and last but not least I added a little bit of bisque liquid pearls.

I am linking this up to Knick of Time Tuesday.

Scrapping away...

Hi all!

I am once again digging into my piles of scraps.

Tonight I made this card...

The yellow background paper is a scrap as well as.....

the pearly ribbon.

The stamped area is a sticky back ATC that I painted white,
added the lantern/swirl stamp,
 the script stamp and then
touched up the edges with some vintage photo distress ink.

I used mustard seed and spiced marmalade Distress Markers to fill in the lantern.

Have a great weekend!

Distress Markers

I recently bought a set of
Tim Holtz Distress Markers
from Misty over at
Shabby Beautiful Scrapbooking.

Here are my first projects using them

2 ATC's

The first one I did on gloss paper atc's from Inkssentials.

I used StazOn Jet Black for the stamp,
dried marigold, barn door for the flower and
faded jeans for the stamp.

I love how vibrant the colors came out on this one.

The second one was done on white sticky-back canvas atc's also from Inkssentials.

I used the same jet black StazOn for the stamp,
spun sugar & worn lipstick for the flower,
and weathered wood for the stamp.

Love the textured look from the canvas.
