Happy Easter, again!

Another Bella Challenge taken care of...

This one is for the April Bella Unique Challenge.
The challenge was to make our own flourish with liquid pearls, stickles or what ever we could find that we could work with.
I had Inkssentials Enamel accents.

Here is my layout...

The beautiful little girl image is from Magic Moonlight Studio.

I used my new Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page.

The flower below was just one of many little goodies that a dear Bella friend sent to me recently.
She was definitely too good to me and I love her for it!
Thank you Heather!

I added the leaves from Graphics Fairy. I fussy cut, added clear rock candy crackle paint and a bit of tea dye distress ink to them. I also put some rusty/orange glitter glue to the center of the flower.

Thank you for looking!
Hugs everyone!

Happy Easter!

Ok, call me crazy but here I sit, Easter morning, making things for Christmas.

Here are four cards I made to enter in the Jingle Bella Card Challenge over at Bella Creations
Since it is spring we needed to add at least one flower on the card.

These two were both done using Distress inks - worn lipstick, crushed olive, tea dye and vintage photo.
The flower is from Graphic Fairy
I mounted it, inked, then added some clear embossing powder around the edges.

The next two I used the same flower but the first one instead of adding clear embossing powder I painted a bit of glitter glue on the flower and leaf, then added some crushed olive distress ink all over. I also added some scroll stamping, in the crushed olive, for the background.

The last one I used a square stamp for the center then placed a blank piece of cardstock on top of it, that was slightly larger than the stamp, so I could add some swirls. Topped it off with the poinsettia that I fussy cut and clear embossed.

Jingle Bellas also had a challenge to make a dozen bows.
Unfortunately I do not have the room here to store 12 bows but if you know me you know I had to give it a try so here a two bows that I made this morning.

I'll just have to catch up later when I have a space with more room for storage.

Thanks for looking!
Hope everyone's Easter is hopping along happily!

Cards, cards and more cards

After making the anniversary cards the other day I decided to keep going and made these...

 Yup, it's a Christmas card!
It's my very first easel card!
It is one of my entries for this months Christmas card challenge over at Bella Creations in the Jingle Bellas group.
I have 3 more to make.
Since it is spring we had to have at least one flower on it.

Here's another Christmas card...
Don't have a flower for it though, not sure I want to put one on this. I like it the way it is.
I cut the holly leaves freehand and tried my hand at painting the veining on them with a bit of studio g ink, in an olive color.
The background and the ephemera were inked with crushed olive and tea dye distressed inks.
The ephemera, a Graphics Fairy find, was also topped with clear embossing powder.

From Christmas to Easter...
My second easel card.
This one is pretty simple. I painted some glitter glue on the flowers to bring them out a bit.
Added some lace, giving it a window affect and a little flower.
Here is a close up of the flowers..
The image is from the Tim Holtz idea-ology Seasonal paper  stash.

Not quite sure what this one will end up being...
I was just playing around with some chipboard frames and this is what I did with them.
There is crushed olive, faded jeans, wild honey, worn lipstick and tea dye distress inks all over the background paper as well as some clear embossing powder.
I inked three of the frames and painted two.
Added clear rock candy crackle paint on three lower frames, then added a bit of ink when it dried.
The double frame, which was a painted one, also got a bit of black glitter glue painted on.
The little rectangle on the top right, one of the inked ones, got some clear embossing powder scattered on it then I brushed it with some paint and clear glitter glue.

Thanks for looking!
Have a great day!

What a day!

My day started a bit earlier than I had planned. My son decided to start the washer in the wee early morning hours. His late night call into work must have been a messy one. Around 6:30 am I heard the very squeaky dryer running right outside my bedroom door.

When I finally decided to get up I made myself something to eat, did a little cleaning then got out my crafty bits to make a couple of anniversary cards and a few more flowers.
Unfortunately, before making anything I reached my arms up for a little stretch and OUCH!
I pulled a muscle in my neck. A lot of ibuprofin and a few bags of frozen peas, placed strategically on my neck several times today and I managed to accomplish what I hoped to do.

Here is a look at my cards...

I inked everything with antique linen distress ink.

The shabby chic flower is one I made a while ago.
I added a bit of embossing powder to the edges of the image also.

The second card I made...

I added faded jeans as well as antique linen distress inks.

The image and the butterfly I got from Graphics Fairy. Love all the wonderful images Karen shares with us.
The couples image I treated the same as the first card, with  inking and a bit of embossing powder on the edges.

The butterfly was fussy cut, adhered to some Tim Holtz grungepaper with mod podge, topped with clear rock candy crackle paint and finally faded jeans distress ink. I also topped it with one of the flowers I made.

And speaking of flowers...
I only made a few today.
Now I think it is time for another bag of frozen peas and some more ibuprofin.

Hope everyone has a great night!
Hugs all!

Book Mark

This is my entry for the April Bella Muse Challenge over at Bella Creations.
We had to use this image in anyway we wanted.
I chose to make a bookmark.

My hub's printer was running out of ink so my image came out with a red tint but I chose to go with it. I added a bit of tea dye distress ink on the edges and clear glitter glue on the moon. I also used tea dye distress ink on the background paper.

I also added some clear embossing powder to the background.

Thanks for looking!
Have a great night!

Flowers, flowers and more flowers

Flower making is done and my mess is clean.
I had such a good time making flowers today.
It's been a while.
 I made a bit of a variety.
Here is a couple others that I did.

All together I made 30 flowers.
I am tired.
Hope everyone has a good night sleep!
Sweet dreams!

More flowers

Oh, I so have to go shopping tomorrow for some more lace.

Look at these little beauties...

I might just be having too much fun with these!

Thanks for looking!

New Flowers

Beautiful Bonnet

I thought I was done for the day but I couldn't help myself...

This is the tag I made for the Oh La La Challenge over at Bella Creations

Helene supplied us with the image of a woman with a beautiful bonnet for us to decorate.
The only requirements were that it was to be a tag and the bonnet had to be decorated. We could use the bonnet without the woman but I couldn't tear her away from it.

I put a couple of slits in the image at the edges of the bonnet so I could put a bit of lace through, then added the feathers and a bit of bling.
The background was a challenge in its self.
I don't have my Cuttlebug here with me but I really wanted to use my new embossing folder so I inserted the colored paper and grabbed the jar I have a bunch of flowers in. Took a bit of elbow grease but it worked. I suppose a rolling pin would work too, but my son doesn't have one.
I used a bit of black ink to highlight the embossing.
The image is black and white because my hub's printer is out of color ink.

Thanks for looking.
Hugs to all!

April Showers

It's been raining a lot lately so it's only fitting to make a card using an umbrella,
or five.
I'm entering this card in the Viola Ink and Nuances De Couleur Challenges over at Bella Creations
The Viola Ink challenge required the use of spring colors, some inking or stamping and an umbrella.
The Nuances De Couleur challenge simply required the colors yellow, black, white and pink.
This is what I came up with...

The umbrella image came from Karen over at The Graphics Fairies.
Pop on over there and see what other wonderful images she is sharing with everybody.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Grunge

My first attempt at Grunge!

We had to do something with the Grunge style.
We needed to use a piece of painted cardboard, a token, a flower, a butterfly, and a garder(ribbon)
We also had to use the colors turquoise, black, white and silver.

I made a tag!

I painted the cardboard with turquoise and white then inked a bit of black on it to dirty it up. Then stamped on the clock in black ink.

I fussy cut the butterfly off of a piece of patterned paper, then added a bit of shimmery glitter glue on his body and a turquoise glitter glue on his wings.

I made the flower and the token is actually a button.

Thanks for looking.
Come on over to Bella Creations to see what everyone else has done!
Have a great day everyone!
