Clearance rack paper......

Don't ya just love when you find little pretties on the clearance rack?

I found this My Minds Eye at Hobby Lobby yesterday!
Clearance rack score!

I knew I was going to make cards with it as soon as I saw it!

Here's what I made this morning.....

I used my new Christmas presents...
the Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle dies
on my new
Big Shot Plus!
(yippie....I'm giddy about that!)

I also used a couple of old dies and stamps for the ticket above
and
the scalloped ovals below.

Thanks for visiting!

A Moment Lasts all of a second.....

Good morning all!

Here is a cute little card I made using a couple things I got in one of my Tuesday Morning hauls last month (the card stock & top die)!

I can't believe the sentiment stamp fit so perfectly in the center of that top die cut!
It's like they were made for each other but they weren't!
I can't even tell you how old that stamp is!

I love the color of that cardstock and the new washi tape stash that my daughter and I went a little overboard buying (on another shopping trip) looks great on it!

Thanks for the visit!

Warm Winter Wishes

Good morning!

I have a Christmas card I made with my white and gold card stock I found in Tuesday Morning last month.

I love this paper so much I couldn't do much to it!

I added a gold glittery sequin with a brad to the tag and some branches behind the sentiment.

Can you see the shine on that paper?

Inside is ready for a note!

Canvas fun

Good morning!

I wanted to paint
But I didn't want to do anything special, just play!
Got out the colors I like
(fall colors)
Grabbed some stencils and went to town!

After I was feeling happy about the background I wanted to doodle
Not with pen though,
still with paint!

In came my doodled flowers and leaves

I'm not always happy with things I paint but this piece makes me so happy!
Hope it makes you happy too!

The inspiration for this piece came from Flora Bowley
Her books,
Brave Intuitive Painting and Creative Revolution
(you can find them both at Amazon),
have helped me to feel a bit freer when I paint.
I have a little more to work on but I'm having fun and that is a big part of creation!
 Thanks Flora!

Recycled

Good morning!

I have a project here,
that was part of the basement flooding mess that I was able to salvage!

The quote/poem was in another frame that didn't fair well but I loved the poem so I had to figure out what to do with it.
In the mean time it spent some time on my desk.

Some where along the line I was playing with paints on this canvas board,
hated what it looked like, it, too, ended up sitting!

Then as I was going through my stash I found this old frame.
Could it fit that ugly canvas board?
Measurements work!
Yay!

So I got the canvas board out again,
repainted it
and
mounted the poem!

Of course, then I found that the board did not fit into the frame,
I had to do some sanding & chiseling,
bending & pushing
and
WOOHOO
it worked!

(You can see by the shadow it's not all together in this photo,
not sure what happened to the finished photo, maybe it's in my broken camera but I really did get it in there!)

Shaker card

Hello folks!

Today I'm sharing my first attempt at a shaker card.

It came together pretty good, I think, but the glitter bit's stuck to the sides of the foam tape and I didn't put enough goodies inside to shake.

Below you can see it's all hidden down too low.

I love how my chipboard JOY came out with the gold embossing powder.

Next time!
I'll get it right!
I hope!
lol

Cards made from scraps

Good morning!

I have 3 cards here that I made using only what I found in my scraps drawer.

My only addition was the card bases, a little distress ink,

Wink-of-stella, stamp, and the ribbon bow

Abstract Roses

Good morning!

Breaking from the scrappy card making I've been doing for a while now,
I decided to try some abstract roses on canvas.

Not sure how I like all the blue space but it was a fun piece and it is hanging in my hallway now, looking pretty good there!

Tall skinny notebook

Good morning!

I finally got my first tubs of
Dylusions paints!

During one of my cleaning frenzy's I realized I have an awful amount of little notes all over the place so I decided to make a notebook for myself
and this is the cover.....

Doodling with paint, what fun!
I love the vibrant colors!

Art Journal page

Good morning!

Today I have a fun art journal page I did after watching a video,
 byTracy Weinsapfel,
do something similar to a page in her journal.

I loved the colors, the border and the way she wrote the quote so I ran with it and this is what I came up with!

I'm silly pleased with this one!

Christmas tags

Hi there friends!

I have some cute little Christmas tags I made to share.

Here they all are,
I'll have closer shots below.....

They are all laid out on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock.
Perfect size to add to gift packages!

I made these using
from
You get three sheets or postcards
with
6 different Santa's!
Some are card topper sized and some atc sized
also
holiday text boxes and little peppermint candies!
 Such a collection!

I also used a couple of text boxes from the
also from My Artistic Adventures.

I took the ATC sheet and printed them out
at 5x7 instead of an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock
 so they would be smaller,
small enough for my tags.

I used a little snowflake stamp and white ink, on the background paper/tag.
The "believe" is also a stamp.

These two above have liquid pearls in rouge, for the berries.

I used platinum stickles around the edges of most of the Santa images.

The flowers and leaves are diecuts
and the snowflakes, added to some of the flowers, are from a punch.

Some of the candy pieces were colored with glittery gel pens and others I used glossy accents on for that candy shine.

I also added some Wink-of-Stella for shimmer here and there.

Thank you for stopping by.
Hope you were inspired!

Happy Birthday

This is another card made with the scraps from the baby album I made.

I love this paper it's so elegant.

Wink-of-Stella on the sentiment.

Scrap made cards

Good morning!

I have a couple of cards to share,
more cards made with scraps
Since I've been on a roll cutting down my scrap pile I decided to take the leftovers from the baby mini album and use those scraps for some cards too,
instead of throwing them in the scrap drawer!

The bird images I'm sure came from Gecko Galz
They have been in my drawer, with the scraps,
waiting to top some cards for a while now too!

Thanks for visiting!

Baby Boy Mini Album

Good morning December!

Today I have a baby mini album to share.
I made this for my niece for her first child.

I kept the cover fairly plain...
the paper, the baby feet, are flocked.

The spine.....

The inside cover...

Pages that fold out...

Waterfall pages,
large and small

pockets & photo mat's

I had so much fun making this for her!

I'm not posting all of the pages here.
There are over 85 spots for photo's & journaling!

I couldn't make it to the shower but from what I'm told,
from a few people, this album was a hit!
