Paris Flea Market Swap

I got happy-mail!

I joined the Paris Flea Market Swap over at Gecko Galz and today I received  the package that was sent to me from Diane.

Look at all the goodies she sent me...

Tags, stamps, ribbons, bling, diecuts, lots of flowers, buttons, charms and a tag she made!

I made this tag using the supplies she sent me!
My addition was the bird bath, blue seam binding, pearl spray and the inks & spray on the tag.

This is what the big flower on my tag used to look like before I folded the pieces, added hot glue and a glimmer mist that I made.

Thanks Diane!

Craftless fog

I am trying my darnedest to get out of this craftless fog I've been in lately.

Today I made a card and a wall hanging.

First the wall hanging...

I'd been wanting to play with a dress form for a while now so today I finally did.
I used lace & sequins from Creating is Fun and a piece of ribbon I had laying around.
Dressing it was not the easiest thing I've ever done but it was fun!

I added a few drops of buttercup liquid pearls to the top but didn't like the look so I smeared it and since I liked that I added more to the bottom and side.

The flower is one I made a while ago with patterned paper and Cameo diecuts.

A close up of the dress...

The images are from Magic Moonlight Studio Free Images.
Blanca always has such beautiful vintage photo's to work with.

I used vintage photo distress embossing powder on the grunge board key hole.
I love the look!

The card...

The piece of paper that I used for the tag background is paper I made myself in Gimp.
The rose image is from Gecko Galz

The lace is, again, from Creating is Fun.
And I used another Magic Moonlight Studio image.

The wheat piece is from Pro 31 by way if my good friend Heather

The pearl piece is also from Pro 31 (direct route).
They are a cream/ivory color but I hit them with watermelon and terra cotta Alcohol inks.
Not liking how sticky they were when I was done I took a baby wipe and wiped them off leaving them a perfect color without the stickiness.

I'm thinking "lucky me"!

I used another piece of my paper to stamp the inside sentiment on.

Pretty tag

Well I finally did it...

I cleaned my desk!

Unfortunately though I am not in much of a crafty mood these days so it looks like it's going to stay clean!

I did manage to finish this tag though...

It's been sitting on my desk in pieces for at least a week.

I designed the tag in Gimp and cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo.

My doodling was done with worn lipstick and crushed olive distress markers.

The "stitching" was done with a sharpie pen.

Putting some glitter glue on her wings made the paper curl out a bit so I went with it.
I held the tag up to a light and did a little scribbling on the backside to copy the design of the wings then glittered them as well, then when I glued the front and back tags together I left the wings open.

A little bit of bling mesh that I cut for the edges.

The back I left pretty simple just my doodling and some liquid pearls.

My crinkled seam binding came from Shabby Beautiful Scrapbooking.

Woohoo Heather!

My bestie online bud is on the DT at Sugar Creek Hollow now!

Yippee Heather!!!

The challenge this week is Pearls & Swirls

This is a card I made to enter in the challenge...

The flat back pearls are from Pro31.

I used a swirl stamp on the background using vintage photo distress ink.

The rose print is on fabric.
I got the image from Whimsical World of Fairies.
I love that you can see the swirls through the fabric.

I cut the swirl with grunge board, painted it with antique linen distress crackle paint, added some vintage photo distress ink, and topped it with glossy accents.

Here's a close up...

Distracted...

Seems to be my thing these days...

The other day I set out with a plan to clean and organize my office and ended up with a sparkling clean kitchen!

Both rooms are on the opposite ends of the house!

You know the deal...you start one thing...spot something else that needs to be done...think that you can get that taken care of quick...
and
SNOWBALL!

LOL

Well it happened again yesterday.

I did make it into my office but I spotted this piece of cardboard and off I went...

Not to clean and organize...

I made this wall hanging...

I started out ripping the top layer off the cardboard, then added some weathered wood, broken china and picket fence distress stains all over.
When that all dried I got out a few stamps and randomly stamped all over.

The charm over on the right is one I made with Gecko Galz image, glossy accents and a Tim Holtz fragment.

***

Below is a close up of the bottom grouping.

The large gem is from Pro31

The large rose is from I am roses. I sprayed that with Adirondack's Stream color wash, then sprayed with biscotti Perfect Pearls mist.

The small rose is Recollections. Edges colored with broken china distress ink then sprayed with biscotti Perfect Pearls mist.

The Laugh Dream Grow piece is an old patterned paper that I cut ages ago.

The rose tag I believe I got online but can not remember where...sorry!

***

And a close up of the upper corner grouping...

Large rose is from Pro31. It once was pink. Same as above I sprayed it, and the large I am roses rose, with Adirondack's Stream color wash, then sprayed with biscotti Perfect Pearls mist.

The lower blue flower is one I made a while back with a blue patterned paper then touched the edges with Stickles in platinum. The center is a small piece of a floral/pearl ribbon I got from Pro31.

More large gems from Pro31 as well as the pearl drops that I tucked in through the grouping.

The pink and the white rose buds are from I am roses.

The pearly spray is hand made by me!

Here you can also some of the stamping I did.

My office will be organized...
Some day...

Shabby Chic Card

I've been in a card making mood today.

I went shabby with this one...

I used a bunch of scraps for this one.

The center piece is a canvas atc.
I stamped it with a couple different stamps.
I colored the butterfly with tumbled glass and faded jeans distress markers then sprayed the whole piece with a silver glitter mist and walnut gold glimmer mist.

This is a glossy atc that I also made tonight...

I wanted to play with some alcohol inks so I used a couple of stamps with black StazOn ink,
then added some Terra Cotta and Slate alcohol inks.
It might be a little busy but I love the colors!

Happy Mother's Day

Dear Mom
by Anonymous

Dear Mom, I said a prayer for you
to thank the Lord above
For blessing me with a lifetime
of your tenderhearted love.

I thanked God for the caring
you've shown me through the years,
For the closeness we've enjoyed
in time of laughter and of tears.

And so, I thank you from the heart
for all you've done for me
And I bless the Lord for giving me
the best mother there could be

Happy Mother's Day!

Simple card

I'm playing with Heather's digi tags again.

Here is the card I made...

I glittered the edges of the tag with Platinum Stickles then mounted it on brown cardstock.
A little Antique Linen Distress ink on the edges of the card and on the swirl stamp (that is really hard to see).
The tear drop pearl trim is from Pro31 Design.

The inside...

Some more Platinum Stickles on the edges of the tag.
Antique Linen on the edges and the swirl stamp.

If you like the tags I used, head on over to Heather's blog and grab one for yourself!
She has them in different colors as well as a couple other digi collage's.

Thank you

Today I decided to play,

in between all the laundry,

with these tags that Heather designed...

If you love them as much as I do run on over to Heather's and get them for yourself!
You can find them here.
_____

I made a thank you tag...

The butterfly I believe is Recollections.

The seam binding was a little happy mail goody from Heather.

A close up...

I don't remember where the large curly flower came from, it has been laying on my desk! LOL

The large pink rose bud is from iamroses
and
the small rose is Recollections.

The lace across the bottom and the sequin trim are from Creating is fun.

Here's the back...

I used GIMP to add "Thank you!" to the back.

I made a pocket in the above tag and added this tag below out of paper that I designed.

I'm not going to show you the back of this one because it's a note to the recipient.

Heavens Angels

Last week I found out my Uncle George passed away.

Off to the Great Beyond.

Today he has a smile on his face because the love of his life has joined him.

Aunt Jackie

My Godparents

How cute are they?

They were in their mid 90's.
They lived a long, loving life together.

They leave behind their sons, grandchildren, great grandchildren, neices, nephews.....

They will be greatly missed!

RIP Aunt Jackie and Uncle George
