Please enjoy this free Gecko Galz Collage sheet “Dancers”

As well as the samples I have made using the images

For this Halloween card I took the lovely dancer
and with GIMP, I placed her on a postcard from Septembers Autumn days collage sheet, that I also added October's freebie-Halloween paper to.
(you can get your monthly freebies by signing up for Gecko Galz monthly newsletter here)
The tickets are also from Gecko Galz,
the Hocus Pocus paper line's bottle labels.
I ruffed all the edges with my Tim Holtz distresser,
used black soot distress ink on the flowers and paper edges,
and I sprayed the ribbon with suede glimmer mist.

Once again I played in gimp and put this lovely dancer on the enchanted woods background paper.
The lace and flowers are from my stash.
The pearl spray, teardrop pearl trim and the brown teardrop spray are all from Pro31 Design.

This might be my favorite.
I used a piece of card board that I added gesso to then stamp my favorite script stamp from Stampabilities and added a couple of music notes for the lovely dancer to dance to.
The flowers are all from I am Roses.
The dangling bling I put together.
And the pearl trim on the bottom that I used Sailboat Blue alcohol ink on are from my
BOLB(Best on line Bud) and fellow Gecko Galz DT member, Heather,
 who got them from Pro31.

This is a holiday wall hanging.
I fussy cut the dancer and placed her on Gecko Galz Sugar Plums paper from Grandmas House paper collection
The Merry Christmas banner is from the same paper collection.
The white poinsettia is from I am Roses.
The other flowers and the silver bling are from my stash.
The wheat spray is from Pro31 Design.
The lae trim is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

12 tags of 2012 - October

Ok, here is my tag for this month...

I didn't have the printed tissue paper for the background so I used a page from an old book.
I used butterscotch & pearl paint dabbers,
dusty concord & vintage photo distress inks
and dazzling diamonds glitter mist.

I distress the edges of the tag and tickets with Tim Holtz distresser.

The two spooky tickets are from Gecko Galz
Hocus Pokus Paper Pack - Hocus Pokus Bottle Labels

The pumpkin and BOO! were cut out of grunge board on my Cameo.

I painted the pumpkin with the butterscotch dabber,
added glossy accents,
then Martha Stewart's woodland glitter sets Fire Opal glitter.
From there I made a total mess trying to smash the glitter into the glossy accents the way Tim did,
added more glitter to cover up the mess and when that all dried
I added more glossy accents to seal the glitter in.

Love how sparkly it is!

BOO! was inked with a black soot distress marker then topped it with glossy accents.

Happy Mail!

My hub's ran over to the post office this morning and brought back the mail...

I was sooo excited when I saw this package from a dear friend of mine...

How sweet!

I turned it over to open it up and what did I see?

Can you read it?
It says...
"Don't Open Until December 25th!"

You little stinker Cindy!

I will be a good girl and leave it right where it is.

I will not open it until Dec 25th!

It may drive me nuts seeing it there every time I walk by it but I so love a surprise under my Christmas tree and this is definitely a sweet surprise!

Thank you Cindy!

Christmas card

Still playing with the Vintage Christmas Stamp collection from Gecko Galz!

Here is another card...

I love the vintage Santa's!

I colored this stamp with my Spectrum Noir markers,
then fussy cut around the stamp.

The Silent Night music sheet is from the Alter Me collage collection at Gecko Galz.

Hard to tell from these pictures but I used a little bit of Weathered Wood distress stain on the piece of card board then added some Tattered Rose distress crackle paint here and there.

I distressed the edges of all of the papers with my Tim Holtz distresser.

I added the eyelet and tiny silver bell from my stash.
The lace piece is also from my stash.

Christmas tag

I made this tag with one of the digi stamps from
Gecko Galz Vintage Christmas collection...

LOVE this stamp collection!

I tore the top layer off of a piece of cardboard and added some Pearl paint dabber.

A little Magenta stickles to the edges.

The patterned paper is from the Versailles paper collection from Gecko Galz.
I added Platinum stickles to the edges.

I fussy cut the digi stamp that I colored with my Spectrum Noir markers,
then attached it with pop dots.

You can't tell in this photo but I also added a bit of glitter glue to give the area around the stamp some shimmer
and
the blades were colored with a silver pen so that it would shine like the blades should shine.

The poinsettia's are from I am roses
They were sprayed with Pink Taffy Glimmer Mist.

The pearl spray is from Pro31 Design.

I put the stick pin together and added it to the top.

My clean desk and a couple of Christmas cards...

Hi everyone!
Hope you are all enjoying a great weekend!

It's raining here so I am inside cleaning!
The end is in sight though and scrappiness will be here soon!

You all know the drill...
clean it up...
then make a new mess!

Funny isn't it?
I get so excited when I can see the desktop because I know I have room to create again...
even though I know with each creation comes a new mess!

Are you the same way?
Do you feel the excitement building as your desktop starts appearing through the mess?

It's calling me.....

I must go.....

But wait.....
I have to show you something first!

I joined the DT over at

We were sent a wonderful stamp to play with this month and this is what I did with it...

Isn't it a great stamp?

I love Santa!

I used my Spectrum Noir to color this one,
then fussy cut around the image and inked it with vintage photo and old paper distress inks.
Can't see it from the pictures but I added glitter to his beard as well as in  the lamp and on the wreath.
The poinsettia is from I am Roses, the tiny rose bud is from Wild Orchids, the white rose is from my stash and the pearl pieces tucked in the flowers are from
my BOLB (best online Bud) Heather,
who got them from Pro31 Designs.

This one I colored with my Tim Holtz distress markers.
I also used a couple of gel pens to give it a little subtle sparkle here and there.
Glitter glue on the wreath and a piece of torn and tattered gold ribbon,
that I tied in a knot,
on the bell.
I also use a piece of the same ribbon in the upper left side of the card.

Until next time...

Another Christmas card...

I am loving the new Vintage Christmas digi stamps from Gecko Galz!

Here is the card I made with one of these stamps...

I colored the stamp with my Spectrum Noir markers,
fussy cut around the stamp,
added a little platinum stickles to the edge,
then pop dotted it on a piece of patterned paper.
I felt like it needed more so I fussy cut that as well, added more stickles to the edge and pop dotted that on another piece of patterned paper that I wrapped a piece of lace around.

Christmas is gaining on us!!!

It's amazing how fast it manages to come up on us every year!

Trying to keep ahead of it I made this card...

The bingo card and music sheet are from
Gecko Galz Alter Me collage collection.

I distressed the edges with vintage photo distress ink.
I attached them with pop dots.

The poinsettia's are from I am Roses.
I added a little bit of vintage photo distress ink to them as well.

The pearl spray is from Pro31 Design.

Wreath

Hi Everyone!
Hope everyone is feeling well
and staying warm!

I just wanted to pop in today to show you a wreath I threw together yesterday.
I was cleaning and I don't know where this came from but in the middle of it all I came into my craft room, grabbed some ribbon and tulle and decided to cut and tie it all on a wreath form I had laying here, then I went back out to finish my cleaning.
LOL

It doesn't look like much in the picture but it looks really nice on it's own hanging on my wall.

Here it is with my Halloween Scarecrow tag in the center!

If you haven't seen my Scarecrow tag you can see the details here.

Wall hanging

Hi friends!

I feel like I've been away for a long time!

I am finally feeling better...
shoulder pain has eased
 and
the cold my daughter shared with us is finally gone.

***

On a good day I made this wall hanging...

I started with gesso,
then added some blue texture paint with a stencil here and there.

The S is a grunge board alpha.
I sprayed it with Stream Adirondack Color Wash then with
Walnut gold Glimmer Mist.

Love the shimmer!

I topped that off with some Glossy Accents.

I pop dotted it on top of a piece of lace that I hit with the heat gun a little bit which melted and tightened up the lace a bit.
Don't know if you can really see the effect but I liked the look of that.

I sprayed the flowers with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist.

For the large rose and one small rose bud, from I am roses, I used Chipped Sapphire Distress Marker on the edges before spraying with the Glimmer Mist.

The carnations are also from I am roses
and the light blue roses are from my stash.

I tucked a couple pieces of pearl trim, from my stash
and a couple of leaves (I am roses) underneath.

The hinge is another piece of grunge board.
I sprayed it with Suede Glimmer Mist and added a couple of brads.

The blue wheat spray is from Pro 31 Designs

A piece of burlap, trim and bling that I through together was added to the bottom.

A couple of eyelets and browned covered wire for the top to hang it
and that is my wall hanging tag!

Thanks to everyone who left well wishes for me while I was under the weather!
