Christmas card

Good morning, afternoon or evening!

This card was so simple but turned out so pretty!

I don't know why I don't do my own backgrounds more often, I'm loving the ones I've done more than store-bought ones lately!
This one was don't with an old Tim Holtz stencil and some distress oxide inks.
The blue scallop die I planned on but the fancy oval die, on top,
I went searching through my dies for.
I now have a few already cut dies for other projects after my hit and miss search!

The embossing powder is a glittery gold.

Thanks for the visit!

Stuffed Christmas tree

Good morning!

Winging it I sewed this tree.
Apparently, I didn't sew very straight but that's ok because I like its wonkiness.
After stuffing it I put it on a stick with beads and a wooden coin.
I finished it off with some ribbons, a bow, and a poinsettia.
When I took these pictures, last night, the glue was not yet set and I had to readjust it several times because it kept leaning but I am happy to say that today it is dry and standing straight.

Thank you for stopping by!
Hope you are having a wonderful day!

Christmas wishes

Hi everyone!

Today's card was a fun one.
It's always fun to do some coloring right?
The tree and packages were colored with alcohol inks.
The background was done with an old Tim Holtz stencil and some distress inks.
The sentiment was heat embossed.
I added Nuvo glitter drops to the ornaments and a little on the presents bows.
Thank you for visiting!
Hope to see you again soon!

Be Merry...

Good day to you!

I have another simple card.
I let the pattern papers be everything here.
I used a dotted frame die.
I'm not really sure how I feel about this die. I love the look but I don't like that those little dot bits get stuck in my die-cut machines plastic sheets (can't think of the name of them..lol) It is not fun trying to remove them!

The Be Merry die was painted gold with a Wink of Stella pen.
Easy peasy!

Thank you for stopping by!

Ornament shaker card...

Hello you!

I have to say I absolutely love how this card came out!
This was such a hit and miss project!
I can't tell you how many times I scrapped my attempts but boy was it worth all the work!

The idea for this card was from Helen on her YouTube channel here.

I don't know Helen and until I just went through my history and found her so I could add her link,
I didn't realize I wasn't even subscribed to her channel!
I am now!
She's got some beautiful card videos I want to check out!

Back to my card.
I used distress inks to make my background.
The snowy bit was made with an ink pad that was apparently sadly neglected.
It fell apart as I used it!

The ornaments and frames around them, were simply circle dies and
I added ornament topper die-cuts and bow die-cuts from another set of dies.
Lastly, I added some die-cut snowflakes.

I used glitter for the snow and although you can't see it there is a small amount glitter in the top ornament.
I lowered, my behind the scenes, framing on that one so I could add glitter but not have it look like there was a pile of snow stuck up in the sky.
When it is shaken there will be snow in the sky above!

Thank you for visiting!
Have a wonderful day!

Snowy Noel...

Hi everyone!

This card today was made with die-cuts and fussy cuts.
The packages are fussy cut and colored with alcohol inks.
The trees were stamped with a couple different distress inks on the stamp, then die cut.
and of course, there are the die-cut snow mounds.
Oh, and the noel die-cut!

Below I'm trying to show you the layers where I used dimensional foam
and
I didn't realize until now but you can see the texture on the patterned paper.
Don't you love when the paper has texture?

I appreciate the visit!
Have a great day!

Happy Birthday...

Happy day to you!

I've been posting a lot of Christmas cards so I thought I'd throw in a birthday card.

I was rummaging through my
"way bigger than I need stash"
and found the paper pad that these papers came from.
It's an oldy I'm pretty sure!

I fussy cut the top paper, not really knowing why at first,
then added it to the background paper and happy fit on it perfectly so there we are!
I added birthday and now I have a male or female birthday card!

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas ornament #3

Hi friends!

I have a quick ornament I made last night.
I had the scalloped circles already pop-dotted together for another project and decided they would be perfect for an ornament.
I added some barn door distress ink to the edges of the circles.

The image I used came from this digital set
Retro Vintage Snowmen Couple Printable Christmas Cupcake image 0
Aren't they all so cute?
You can click on the image to go straight to this 7piece set of images.

The edges have White Blizzard Nuvo glitter drops on them.
The snowflakes on the image were topped with Nuvo Crystal drops in Simple White.
I put a snowflake, I cut in half, to the back of the image, then put that on top with pop dots.
I also added a little snowflake on the image and topped it with an epoxy gem.
And of course, I added shimmer to the snowflakes with a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen.

To find more digital images like I used today you can go to

See ya soon!

Let it snow...

Hi!

Today's card is made with the red snowflake patterned paper,
a die-cut frame,
and
a few snowflake die-cuts,
from my abondance of snowflakes, I cut last year and never used!

I have a bad habit of doing that! I die-cut a bunch of pieces, then don't end up using them!
They float around my office until they eventually find a box to fall into.
Anyway, back to the card.
I finished off with a die-cut flower and a heat embossed sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by!

Sweet tag ornament

Hi folks!

Last night I made this ornament.
Unfortunately, I took several photos in an attempt to show the sparkle, I added to the tag,
 but none actually showed up.
The sparkle was added with gel pens.
I put Nuvo glitter drops around the outside of the tag.
The ribbon behind the tag is a Dollar Tree Ribbon.
I tried several different flowers and ended up deciding on this wee little one.
I think it's perfect for this ornament.

The adorable little tag I used is from
You can click on this link above to see all of the cute digital sheets Heather has over there or

Have a great day!

Peace Christmas card...

Hello everyone!

Today's card was made with the unused pieces from a couple of previous cards I made.
You can see them here and here.
I used the positive and negative pieces of the tree.
Peace is heat embossed a couple of times for chunkiness and added to a tag.

Simple elegance don't you think?

Thank you for visiting!
I love it when you stop by!

A Merry Christmas Ornament

Good afternoon!

I have a second post today!

Creative evolution was working on this one.
It was going to be a card.
After adding the glitter I thought
"glossy accent around the glitter so it stays in place!"
Bright idea, not necessarily an easy idea!
Ok, just glossy accent the whole thing.
Once dried I thought,
"This does not look good on my card".
Now what?

A few days later...
 It's an ornament for my
 Christmas tree.

The image I used was originally a tag from this digital sheet from
Heather is a busy girl, knocking out a whole bunch of new digital sheets for Christmas this year.
And a few for Thanksgiving and New Years!
This is a 10 sheet set,
encluding the little banners!
Click on the sheet to purchase this one.

These two close-ups I'm trying to show the shimmer on the little banner.
Bonus for me, in making this ornament, I finally get to use the greenery sprig that's been hanging around here forever!
As well as the poinsettia (also hanging around here too long)!

I hope you like my cute ornament!
I hope to see you again soon!

Blue Noel card...

Hi everyone!

Today's card couldn't be any simpler!
A piece of patterned paper,
a couple of snowflakes layered and topped with a blue snowflake epoxy sticker,
and a noel die-cut.
I love it when simple can look so pretty!

Thank you for stopping by!

Spirits Bright card...

Happy day!

This card was done with scrap pieces of patterned papers.
I also used a little strip of a Christmas washi tape.
The flower and leaves are pieces I had in my unused die-cut bin.
And I finished off with an embossed sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs!

Noel card...

Happy day!

Today's card is done with a scrap of a tree die I cut similar to yesterday's card.
I backed it with a piece of textured paper.
The background is done with several distress inks and stamps.
I may have to make more of these backgrounds because I'm loving how they are coming out!

The "noel" was embossed several times for a good thick look.

Thank you all for stopping by!
I appreciate the visit!

It's Christmas time...

Good morning!

Today's card is a fairly simple one.
The background was done with distress oxide inks.
I love how it came out.
I love this tree die but boy is it tricky to glue down right!

I added some glimmer to the tree.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!
Thanks for visiting!

Rustic Stockings...

Good day to you all!

Today I went a little rustic with this card.

I don't know why but although I love the look of rustic cards when I make them I usually think they look awful.
That being said I really like this one!
I used tea dye distress ink to age the edges of everything.

The greeting was heat embossed.

Heat embossing is something I'm trying to do more of.
I have a few little jars of embossing powder but for some reason, I've always, in the past, seemed to forget about them. Or I'd remember them, right after I do something else.
Fingers crossed!

Thank you for dropping by!

Reindeer games...

Hi friends!
It took a little while since my last post but 5 days is better than a year right?

I have 2 cards to show you today.

I decided to play with some distress oxide inks for my backgrounds today.

On this first one,
I embossed some snowflake stamps before inking,
then wiped the ink off the embossing.
The images were colored with alcohol inks.
I splashed water on the background of this card,
then added some Nuvo crystal drops.

I used scrap papers to stamp, color and cut my little images.

Thanks for visiting!
Hope you have a wonderful day!

Merry Christmas Kisses

I'm back!
Fingers are crossed that I'll stay awhile.
I lost that crafty feeling far too long ago and think it's finally back!
YAY!

It's snowing outside my window right now!
What could be a better time to start posting Christmasy things?

I caught Heather at it with her digital collage sheets and had to have this one!

It's so stinking cute!

There are different size tags
and there are also circles in this digi set.

So here is what I made with it.....
A cute little house/box!
It's funny, I never have a plan when I start to craft something but when I saw these cuties I knew exactly what I wanted to do!
What do you think of my pretty chimney?

The lid was made using a digi paper set from Heather.
You can find that here
Filled with some yummy chocolates below!
And this last one is without the greenery at the bottom.
The bottom of the tags have different sayings on them and I wanted to give you a close up of one.

Here is a link to Heather's blog
and her Etsy store.

I entered this in the
Unfortunately, I realized afterward that it's a November challenge so I was a bit late!
I couldn't delete it so sorry about that!

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Holidays!
