Inspiration Wednesday 2015 #1 (2nd attempt)

Good morning everyone!

I have been having so much fun with
that I decided to double up!
The class is every other week so I am going to try to do one every week
changing it up a little along the way
(even if it's just a color change)!

This is my 1st week,
2nd attempt...

I used blue & aqua this time
I also added a few more words

I used two different "Create" stamps
as well as a flower to go along with the flower stencil I used.

I don't have a numbers stencil so I used glittery stickers and outlined them with a pen!

Here is my second art journal,
I used an old pair of jeans to make it easy on myself!
No need to sew,
I'm going to leave the edges to fray over time!

My second page, 1st attempt is HERE

I appreciate your visit!

Sweet sparkling card...

Good morning!

I made this card simply because I love these images from the
Gecko Galz freebie collage set I got in the Newsletter.

Of course there was also the added bonus of being able to use another one of Heather's Damask papers!
I think the images and the paper go quite well together, don't you think so too?

The crochet flower I made a while back...I sprayed it with a couple different sprays to get the color I wanted, then topped it with a metal flower and mini mulberry that I inked the edges on.

Below are a couple shots of the edges...
my photo attempt to let you see that I put random swirls of glue down and added some goldenrod glitter on!

January birds card

Good morning everyone!
I hope you all had a great weekend!

My card today...

The background paper is from
My Artistic Adventures Damask digi paper collection
and the image is from
Gecko Galz...the January Newsletter freebie!

I used black cardstock to make the card and mat my images.
I also mounted the die cut, from my Cameo, and fussy cut around that!

The bird images were added with pop dots and I added a bit of grey & white twine around the larger image.

Below is a picture of the inside of my card...

Inspiration Wednesday #2

Good morning everyone!

I have another Art Journal project to share today
inspired by

This one is a second attempt!
Attempt #1 was an epic fail in my eyes!

After a couple things were glued down
I covered it all back up with bunch of gesso and started again!
I'm so happy I did that because I am so much happier with it this way!

Collage is something that I usually shy away from
I have a hard time covering things up!

I guess after my failed attempt doing the collage got a little easier.

The picture below may be my favorite part of these pages.
I love the layers and texture as well as the color!

I'm so happy I decided to join in this Art Journal Inspirational fun!

Kissing Booth tag

Good morning everyone!

My tag today is easy peasy!

I started with the paper from Gecko Galz Seeing Red paper collection
Cut that in the shape I wanted for the tag.
I mounted that on black cardstock and used my
Perfect Layers mini rulers to cut the border.
I added my Love Potion #9 Icon (kissing booth tag)
and finished with a couple of poppies that I fussy cut off of a scrap of Graphic 45 Oz papers (on pop dots).
I also added the glitter to the poppies and made the bow with my bow-it-all!

Teepee card

Good morning everyone!

I don't often make teepee cards, but I do love them,
so when a friend asked me to make a card for her daughter for her 5th birthday I decided what better card to make!

I used three papers from the
Paper Doll paper pack by K&Company
(I would venture a guess it's discontinued now..I've had it a while)
The papers are so cute and girlie!

I'm pretty sure the adorable stamp is by Sherri Baldy
I've had a couple of computer changes since buying this so I have to do some serious searching to see if I can find it again...
I got lucky and had this one printed already!
I colored her with Spectrum Noir markers and added some glitter because
a girls gotta sparkle,
 especially if she has wings!

The sentiment was added to a die cut (from my Cameo)
The bling, pearl string, #5 thicker, trims and glitter are all from my stash.

Below are a couple of angled shots...

This next one you can see her sparkling wings!

I kept the sides fairly plain with just a little glitter and bling because I wanted the front to be the star of the show!

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you're having a great week!

Cherub Heart card

Good afternoon!

I have a quick card I put together for
Gecko Galz cross promotion with Poppy Seed Graphic's stamps.

The heart with cherub is from Gecko Galz Love Potion #9 kit's Icons,
I added a bit of gold marker around the edge of the heart then topped it with some gold shimmer gel pen for more sparkle.

The ribbon with hanging hearts is the stamp from Poppy Seed Graphics,
I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers and added a little red shimmer gel pen around all the stamp lines of the ribbon.

The doily is one I cut with my new Martha Stewart circle puncher,
I took the same gold gel pen as one the heart edges and added a little to the doily.

Below is a picture at a slight angle so you can hopefully see the shimmer from the gel pens.

I had thought I was finished with the card before adding the gel pen sparkle but I'm so glad I added it! It added so much more than I expected to the card!

Fripperies & Butterflies challenge

Good afternoon everyone!

I'm posting a bit later in the day than usual today.
A few days ago I got slammed by my seasonal depression.
It sucker punched me and I've been fighting it ever since,
trying to keep ahead of it!
I don't know that I am winning but I'm trying!

I'm really not in much mood for crafting these days,
I've been doing a lot of cleaning, organizing and whatever else I can think of to keep busy,
anyway,
before I got slammed I had finished a couple of pieces and today I want to share one with you!

Over at Fripperies & Butterflies Leeanne posted a cute image to use in the challenge...
you can find it here

Here is what I did with it.....

I had a bunch of images printed already from Gecko Galz new
Love Potion #9 kit so I decided to use up some of them as well.
I also got out a bunch of ribbon scraps to use up.
When finished collaging them all together I made a card.

Below is a close up of the image from IRALAMIJA
that Leeanne supplied for everyone to use.

I will be linking up at

Playing with paints.....

Good morning all!

As I said in an earlier post,
I want to play a little more with paints & textures this year so,
once again,
taking inspiration from a couple of Donna Downey video's,
I came up with this!

Actually the plan was to do a journal page but the journal I was working with at the time was not cooperating very well so I took a deep breath got out a canvas and
ta da!

I love what I ended up with!

It feels Italian to me....
No, I'm not Italian and I've never been to Italy!
Love Italian foods though!

I love your visits!

Have a great week!

Get Well Soon Little Monster

Good morning everyone!

Today I have a quick little card I made for a little guy who had his adenoids out recently.

I've had these little monster stamps forever but I think this is the first time I'm using them!
I've taken them out and looked at them from time to time
but for one reason or another they didn't fit what I wanted.....
until now!
I stamped the first then stamped it again on another piece of paper to make a mask to cover it up so I could stamp the other guy over it to look like he's standing behind the first.
Then finished with a little monster dragonfly.
I used tumbled glass, crushed olive & scattered straw distress inks for the stamping
and some tumbled glass dabbed on the sides of the die cut.

As excited as I am to use my monster stamps
I am also excited to share with you a new set of papers designed by my BOLB (Best OnLine Buddy)
Heather Hudson from My Artistic Adventures!

(click on the image to go to the Etsy store)

I love these Damasked papers!
I used the chocolate with aqua damask & cream polka dots.
There are several variations of colors in the set and I like them all!

The blue polka dot ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon,
also new, I won this last month in the blog hop!
