Dangling charms

My fickle scrappy mojo has left the building...

 AGAIN!

In the mood to create but no idea what to scrap or what card to make I decided to make these...

This one is my daughters...
Her favorite colors are the green and blue.
I love that little charm that says
"follow your heart".

And this one is dangling off my stylus...

I might have to get to selling some soon since I am still in the mood to make some more.

I have some key chain rings so I'll probably start dressing some of them up too!

Card making continues...

I made a couple more cards last night.

The first one is another easel card...

I wanted a shabby look so I distressed all the edges.

A couple of close ups...

I used a little bit of rusty hinge distress ink here & there and vintage photo distress ink on the edges of the papers.

Perfect pearls in bisque and platnum are mixed to make the flower center.

linking this one to Sugar Creek Hollow - fancy folds challenge
________

And the second I started out using a sticky back canvas atc.

I put fired brick, rusty hinge, faded jeans & crushed olive distress inks on a mat,
then sprayed it and put the atc down to soak up some colors.

Stamped the lantern and used some yellow glitter glue for the light.

Mounted it on a doily and card.

Card

Hopping through some blogs this morning I found that the
Simon Says Stamp Challenge
had a sketch.
I don't usually do sketches but this one struck something in me so off I went and this is what I did...

I made a gate fold card.

I used the coredinations paper, my kids got me for my birthday, in my cuttlebug, then sanded it to bring out the core a bit.

I added a little bit of rusty hinge distress ink on the edges as well as on the stamp.

It's a bit hidden but there is a piece of ribbon across the front of the card tucked under the pp's, I was surprised to see that I had a ribbon that matched this paper so well!

I am entering this in  the...
Simon Says Stamp - Follow Dawny's Sketch challenge,
Shabby Tea Room - April Showers challenge,
Fashionable Stamping - Embossing
and
Sugar Creek Hollow - Fancy Folds challenge.

Canvas wall hanging...

I mod podged, painted, sprayed, dabbed,
stamped & glued
and
this is what I ended up with...

The pink rose is from Wild Orchids,
the cream rosebuds & leaves are from Iamroses,
and
the rose cameo came from my BOLB Heather!

Flatback pearls off to the left are also from Heather...I believe she gets them from
Pro31 Design.

The pretty bird is from Wild Orchids.

Not sure where the pearly crochet ribbon came from,
I've had it forever!

Here is a shot of the side.
I stamped on all sides.

The lace on the bottom is also from Wild Orchids.

I'm looking forward to putting a hole in the wall for this one!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

There once was a box of...

After seeing Carrie's first attempt at multimedia art I decided it was about time I gave in and tried it,

 sooo.....

 here it is.....

The wrinkled bit is tissue paper.
The image is from Gecko Galz.
The wooden dragonfly is from Wild Orchids.

I love how this key came out...
I believe it's a Tim Holtz grunge board key.
It was laying on my desk for a while now! LOL
I colored it with black soot distress markers then sprayed it with
walnut gold Tattered Angels glimmer mist
biscotti Perfect Pearls Mist.
Love the shimmer on it and the antique look of it.

I am roses flowers and leaves...

The two fancy banner cuts are from my Cameo and the piece in the middle is one I just cut using one of the cuts as a template.
I colored the bottom piece of the two with a pearl paint dabber.
The tops I used my distress markers, crushed olive and broken china.
The middle piece was a piece of grunge board that I used to test the colors of my distress markers then I just topped it with the pearl paint dabber and the colors bled through.
It looks so pretty!

Ribbon from my mom's stash.
Buttercup liquid pearls.
Pearl spray from Pro 31 Design.

What do you think?

Another wall hanging

When searching for the 5x7 canvas to do make the wall hanging posted here,
I found this smaller canvas already painted.

I think I started this last year or more ago.

Since I was already in the wall hanging mood I decided to finish this one too,
finally!

The Dusty Attic piece is a gift Heather sent me a while back.

I felt the need to hoard it for a while!

I cut it in half and used the other half on another project.

I painted it white, added a crackle medium and topped it with vintage photo distress ink.

I LOVE the aged look of it!

Now if I could just get my kitchen cabinets to look like that!

All the flowers are Iamroses except for
the little brown rose, that is from Recollections.

Wall hanging

Good morning everybody!

Happy weekend to you all!

I have been in a crafty slump lately.
No real motivation.

Actually no real motivation for ANYTHING!

Been sitting on my butt a lot with the tv and computer on.

Yesterday I complained about this "lack-o-mojo" to a couple of friends of mine,
then I went and checked a couple of blogs I frequent and saw this...

Is that pretty or what?
I love it!

This was done by Lynne.
Here's a link to her blog post.
She always does such beautiful work!
If you haven't yet, go check her stuff out!

Lynne's piece is a hanging tag.....

Mine is a 5x7 hanging canvas.....

Some closeups...

I cut the butterfly using scissors and a diecut for a stencil.

I used my Cameo to diecut the grungeboard teacup.
It is colored with my
distress markers..tea dye & crushed olive.

Above my flower cluster is mostly "I am roses".
The two small roses on the bottom left are Recollections.

Below are two more Recollections small Roses and an "I am roses" Rosebud.

Hey Lynne,
Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Hugs!
