Simple card

When I saw this bookish paper I had to make a card out of it.

I thought is would make a nice masculine card or a card for someone who likes books.

I made the oval frame with a couple of dies.

The ribbon, leaves, and button were in my stash.

The frame was popped up for dimension.

Thinking of you

I finally broke down and bought the vine wreath & flowers die.

I also bought the cutout die.

Using some old Graphic 45 papers I cut one for the background and one for the scalloped circle die I put behind the wreath & flowers.

I added some vellum flowers and butterfly from another new die set.

Finished off with the stamped sentiment on a fishtail die cut piece.

With Love

I'm using up some scraps for this card.

Once I got the fishtailed paper ribbons on the background I had a crazy time trying to figure out what to do next.

Finally, I decided to get out my scalloped dies and did a bunch of layering.

I tucked the lace ribbon behind the sentiment circle.

Birthday card

I've been using up an old paper pack and I'm getting a little worried that it will be gone too soon,

This card was done using my stitched border dies and an oval die.

Cut a couple of fishtailed paper ribbons.

I heat embossed the sentiment stamp, 

added an old flower and some bling.

Love the gray with light teal blue for highlights.

Happy Day card

Morning everyone!

This card was made with an old paper pack that I've been using a lot of lately.

Trying to use up some old patterned paper packs.

I used my stitched border dies.

I fussy cut the glittery flower image from the same paper pack.

The blue burlap came from the Dollar Tree.

A cherry of a card

Hi folks!

I bought a set of dies that came with the cherries and leaves.

I cut several of the dies and began playing. 

After coloring the cherries I went straight for this red paisley paper and a red cardstock.

I like the background papers offset.

You can see here that I used pop dots for the paisley paper, oval, and cherries.

This card was made with a bunch of scraps from an old paper pad.

I cut a bunch of fishtail banners, 

that I pop dotted, 

and 

rounded the corners of the mats with a corner chomper.

I heat embossed the sentiment.

Finishing off the card with a little bling from my stash.

A very pretty card

This card started off with the jar die cut that I cut quite a while ago but never ended up using.

I added a bit of gray & white twine around the jar.

The silver striped paper was a perfect backdrop for this card with the powder blue cardstock on top.

The doily was, also, a die cut from a while ago.

The flowers were made with the set of mini floral dies from Tim Holtz.

I finished off with a little bit of bling.

I got the chance to do 

Donna Downey's Inspiration Wednesday

this year, the last year to join,

 and I thought I would share one of the pages I did.

Honestly, when I saw this one, I thought

 "no way!..... I'm definitely gonna make a mess of this one"

But I went for it and totally fooled myself!

I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I like it!

I liked making the flowers so much I made some more in my art journal!
