The challenge runs from today, Jan 16th, to Feb 14th at 12am EST

Here is the project I made.....

In an attempt to use all the pieces I already had printed and cut
(I have lots to chose from)
I decided to make this cute little box!

I don't have a picture of it but I started by making a basic open topped box from cardstock,
then grabbed 3 tags from the Vintage Music Large Tags
and 1 from the Shabby Vintage Victorian Christmas Tag (that I trimmed) and
glued them onto the basic box.

On the front piece I simply added some glitter glues to the little angels gown and wings then added some lace, a twine bow and button.

Around the bottom of the other three sides I added a small crochet trim.

I also added some clear glitter glue to all the edges of the tags.

This heart is from the Shabby Vintage Ivory Christmas Mitten collage set.
I used a white gel embossing pen and retraced the swirls.
I also added a edging of Wild Rose glitter (#215) from Art Glitter.
I pop dotted the heart and added a couple pieces of red trim to the top.

On this side,
 below,
I used the Shabby Vintage Victorian Pugs & Pooches collage set for the heart/bingo piece and
the Romantic Roses Birds Victorian Vintage collage set that I pop dotted on top.
I tucked a little piece of a feather underneath.
Some of my glitters on this side were from Art Glitter
(# 215-wild rose on the heart,  #142-coral reef on the rose and #286-lettuce on the leaves)
and on the bird I added some blue Stickles.

Next I went with the Vintage Shabby Chic Christmas Holly Gift collage set on this side.
I love the way Heather designed all the pieces to fit together on this set!

I added some Lettuce Art Glitter to the edges of the holly leaves,
traced the Noel letters with a red metallic gel pen (love the sparkle) and topped that with some glossy accents.
I used red micro beads for the holly berries.
The red trim was a scrap on my desk.
A little piece of bling to finish off this side.

Below is a close up,
to show off the metallic sparkle from the gel pen,
before I added the holly berry beads & bling.

The next couple of pictures are a couple of angled views.

I added a bow on top for the closure.
The holly pieces that I used to reimburse the holes are from the
I cut the holly off of one of the sentiment tags.

I hope you like my little box but now I have a question.....

Do you think if I give this box to my husband that he'll get the hint and put something small and shiny in there for me for Christmas this year?
Maybe something pretty for my little fingers or something to hang around my neck?
I think one...
or maybe both would fit nicely in there!

Hmmm.....

Does this mean you have started your Christmas 2014 preparations, if so I am in total admiration!
This box is ever so cute and that sweet twine bow is an adorable addition.

Oh my, each side of this adorable little box is a work of art! LOVE all the darling, charming details. I definitely need to get some micro beads after seeing yours. And hopefully your hubby will get the hint when he sees this box. If not, just put a flashing neon sign next to it because this little box definitely deserves to hold a couple of shiny surprises. :) Thanks so much for sharing such a sweet project!
