Gecko Galz Very Vintage Challenge

How is everyone this morning? 

Hope your summer is going well!

Today we, 

at Gecko Galz,

are kicking off our latest challenge...

Very Vintage!

Simply make anything vintage using at least one of Gecko Galz products on your project!

You can use one of our collage images, digi stamps, gem images, digi papers.....

you can even use one of our freebie pieces!

It can be a card, atc, scrapbook page, tag, something altered.....

your choice...the sky's the limit!

Here is a look at the sample piece that I made for you.....

I made a post card.

Starting with one of the papers from this months

Mori Girls paper pkg.

Then I used several images and the sentiment from the 

La Vie En Rose collage sheet.

I fussy cut the rose and the stamp.

I added a Tim Holtz (postcard) stamp,

some vintage photo distress ink,

diamond stickles (love that shimmer),

pop dots (I'm addicted to these)

and 

some lace trim from my stash.

The slacker returns.....

...at least for a little bit anyways!

Summer time and a nice long visit with 

my daughter and granddaughters has kept me too busy to get online!

It was a lovely month filled with tea parties, sight seeing, nature walks, movie nights at home and so much more!

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and I had to say goodbye to them all a couple days ago!

Here they all are, 

along with my youngest teen, 

heading into the corn at The Field of Dreams Movie site.

Such a fun day!

Ok, 

wiping away the tears,

I have a card to share with you today.

I made this for the cross promotion we have going on at 

Gecko Galz this month with 

With Wild Abandon.

From With Wild Abandon I used 

the lovely digi stamp from the Free Spirit Stamps collection and 

one of the background papers from the Vintage Paris Papers collection.

I added the bingo card from Gecko Galz Bingo collage sheet.

I've had the little clear wheat spray in my stash for a while and thought it would be perfect with this along with a little feather and bow.

I also punched a couple of scalloped circles to tuck under the stamp & bingo images.

Below you can see that I'm keeping my addiction to pop dots alive...

I used some under the bingo & punch and 

added larger/thicker ones under the stamped image!

Gecko Galz "Beachy Keen" Challenge

With summer finally here

we're all thinking

 BEACH

so that is where we're headed at Gecko Galz!

The challenge is

Beachy Keen

and the only rule

is to use at least one thing from 

Gecko Galz store.

It could be a piece of digital paper, collage sheet image or digital stamps...

it can even be one of the freebies!

My inspiration piece.....

I used papers from the La Isla Bonita collection.

The shells images are from the She Sells Sea Shells collage sheet.

The ladies at the beach image is from Splish Splash collage sheet.

All new this month at Gecko Galz!

Every thing was layered with my favorite pop dots.

And I finished off with a button threaded with some shimmery twine and a itty bitty sea shell!
